The party awakens in a strange desert, overlooking a sea with silent waves, and without Kos and Ariana. They make their way inland, but find it increasingly hard to breath and stay warm. Eventually they find safe haven in a strange sanctuary full of food and drink and safety. Little to do they know, they are trapped in an orb being protected by Ariana, who is on her own strange journey through a land fit for necromancers. With Kos and Ariana finally face to face to Vecna, the two have only one way to stop his dark plan and save their friends. But the cost is more than most could bear....

The party began by making their way through the Tabaxi Mountains to follow the mist to an abandoned Raven Queen church. Inside Taabi discovered Opal, mind-controlled and defending the crypt full of Vampire babies. Once ending the poor things, the party runs into old nemesis Cade, who has done everything possible to set this trap for the team. As the party falls one by one, the question becomes 'what is the cost' of survival.

The party makes their way into the Tabaxi mountains and struggles with the morality of killing baby kitten vampires. The beautiful mountain sanctuary of the Tabaxi-- Silver Peaks-- was dark and covered with eerie, sentient mists. The team quickly discover that the Silver Peaks have been overrun with all things vampire, including two turned Tabaxi children. The party said farewell to Marin’s Port and hit the road again. During the travel time, The Shady Bunch took the opportunity to reconnect with one another and discuss the personal developments and conflict they have each been facing over the last few months.

They arrive in the town of Astrakane and are met by a group of gnome medics who unveil a horrible scene of murder in the Tabaxi’s home village. After investigating the bodies of the dead, they uncover the truth-- vampire children infiltrating Silver Peaks. Gathering up a group of willing Gnomes, the party prepares themselves for whatever they might find in the mountains Tabbi calls home.

The party continues their quest to reclaim the city from the slavers, with Lord Sumi dead they set their sights on Astrid. 

Lord Sumi’s guards help to infiltrate the brothel before the party arrive and revealed themselves as rebels. The party managed to take out the remaining guards and quickly realise the sex workers were being controlled by the dastardly Astrid. With some casualties and a lot of fire, the party are able to take out Astrid and free the sex workers from their life of slavery. 

After another group shower, the team makes plans to travel back to Taabi’s homeland and reunite the lost Tabaxi people with their families.

The Party hatches a plan to start a battle between the quarrelling slavers Astrid and Lord Sumi. Concerned about the slaves safety during the coming battle. Sapphire and Taabi went off to secure the children enslaved by Sumi in the mines while Ariana headed towards Astrids brothel to warn those enslaved by her. Ariana had an awkward conversation with the oldest of Astrid's slaves planned for them to gather her people in the cellar for safety when a code phrase was uttered. Taabi and Sapphire  successfully gathered the children in the narrow mines where they could not be followed by adults. 

By taking advantage of the appointment that Kos and Brilia had managed to secure with Lord Sumi they successfully made it seem as though Astrid herself had broken in and stabbed him. In reality it was just Verity in disguise. Sumi quickly sent his guards over to Astrids place of business and cowered in his estate-licking his stab wound- leaving Taabi, Brilia, and Verity to finish him off. The party then met at the heart of the battle between Astrid and Sumis forces and quickly making their presence known with the casting of a few spells, causing both sides to change their focus to them. Noting that Astrid was not where in sight,the party managed to buy some time to enter Astrids base, which seems oddly quiet despite the chaos outside.

The party slipped into the world of espionage armed with glamorous frocks and fans. They made themselves acquainted with Madam Astrid and plotted to help her take out her biggest competitor Lord Sumi. Brillia and Kos avoided their issues while shopping in the market place and met the sweet and jittery Caraway. Caraway led them to Lord Sumi and gathered intel and set up a meeting with him for the following day. The team reunited and plotted to stab Lord Sumi and place the blame on Astrid. Verity was visited by Arsen in her dreams, where the two debriefed over their complicated break up and uncertain future.

The party continues with their caravan North. Taabi's reconnection with Sapphire is interrupted when the party is suddenly ambushed by a band of Rebels, who were looking to liberate slaves being transported along the road. After the party proved their caravan was of free people, Leda, the Rebel Leader told the party of more slavers operating out of the city of Marin's Port. She describes two slavers Lord Sumi and Astrid who are rumoured to be at odds with one another. 

The party enter Marin's Port and go undercover at a fancy hotel to gather information on the slavers in the hopes of pitting them against each other. While they wait for their chance to poison the ear of the slavers, the party enjoys relaxing in the hotel and indulging in the luxury so rarely afforded to them.

Our party finds themselves in the wake of a shocking confession from Kos. Brillia and Lenore communed with Pelor and The Raven Queen for guidance while Taabi and Arianna set out to transport the newly emancipated slaves of Caraquette home. Our adventures are gifted horses and carts by Arsen to aid in their travels, and while Verity refused to take Arsen’s horse Jules, she does steal Atlas’s.

The rest of the party discovers Arsen is staying behind, and he deals with a harsh talking to by a betrayed Ariana and an understanding handshake from Taabi. While travelling, the adventures discover just how much the breakup and perceived abandonment of Arsen is affecting Verity, and are left feeling unable to help her.

Ariana finds herself in the Demiplane of Ash alongside Raff. The two aren’t alone, however. The arch-lich (and Ariana's pen pal) Vecna appeared and asked to see Kos in exchange for Raff's safe return. Before Ariana woke, the lich imbued a boon within her eye. With Taabi and Lenore handling the battlefield clean up, the others went to bring Raff's body to a safer place. Kos, when confronted by Ariana, unveiled her past as Kas the Betrayer, catching Brillia understandably off guard. 

Meanwhile, back in the ballroom, Lenore did her duties for the Raven Queen until everyone gathered together again in the library. Deciding on the next move was no easy task, however, as conflict brewed within the party. Once more, the team split, mainly to cool off after a handful of hard conversations. A spat between Verity and Lenore pushed the two away from the rest as Taabi went with Sapphire and Kos to quell the remaining slaves' fears and doubts. Ariana solved the second part of the slavery issue, "convincing" Atlas to free the slaves using her magical enchanted eye. However, the episode concludes on a somber note, with Arsen telling Verity that he's staying in the castle to help Atlas with Caraquette.
