Clemson Tigers Head Coach Dabo Swinney made some headlines in Day Four of the ACC Kickoff Media Days. Dabo went into detail on his transfer portal philosophy, saying he would be “the greatest portal recruiter ever” if he took a new job tomorrow and had to replace half his roster. He says the reason Clemson does not use the Transfer Portal is because their roster retention of star players has been so good. Swinney routinely preaches development over adding players in the portal. Swinney is very much against the upcoming expansion from 85 to 105 scholarship players. 

Hosts Alex Donno and Kenton Gibbs weigh in on Swinney’s portal and scholarship comments. Kenton disagrees with Dabo’s perspective on the additional scholarships.
