I watched Cramer last night - a woman called up who visited a Best Buy to buy a mobile phone. She bought a $49.95 plan in order to make the return of the phone easier and she raved about how great Best Buy was. Rules I have for trading and portfolio management 

40-40-20 portfolio 

Before entering a trade identify both the top and bottom of what you want 

For what you’re identifying as a long term buy, identify how low you’re okay with it going and whether you will buy more or sell 

Identify the total lot size for long term trades and split that up in to multiple days or maybe weeks to establish the full position 

Don’t ever do a market order or chase an entry 

Always do a weekly, monthly and quarterly review of your portfolio and stocks where you create a plan for the next week, month and quarter. Altering the plan should come along with facts and not “I think it’s going to rise” 

Finally - journal your trades - find a way to do that - I like savvy trader but be aware it’s a new service and they have changed the rules recently

$msft hiring Sam and Greg means it took a step back in ai but if managed correctly then they have the lead. They owned 49% of open ai and now own 100%. Win for $msft. OpenAI on the other hand may have a skeletal staff and $msft can back out of that deal at any moment. My opinion - the board was inept and wanted to hold control. Even if they had fears of general ai being achieved - they took any investor or any manager at that company (all of which were hired by Sam) and said “we don’t want to be a profitable company. The board was filled with people who didn’t think through things. 

Twitter is filled with this message including from the person the board said was ceo on Friday and just replaced. It’s clear they are all following Sam and there will be some people left to help Sam and Greg dismantle open ai.

Walmart, $WMT, falls 8% as CFO says October trends have made them "pause and rethink the health of the consumer."

More specifically, Walmart said they saw a sharp falloff in sales during the last 2 weeks of October.

Management said there is still strain on the consumer and they are more cautious than they were 3 months ago.
