I have been trading ELF for quite a while now and done well but the winner and buy today before earnings is COTY. I added to my position today at $9.72 with a price target of $12.69.

CFO, Director, 10% investor, etc have all been hoarding shares in the recent month and a half.

$ftnt - down on earnings - missed and lowered guidance - they are back to where they were in Jan but it’s a mess of a company right now 

$sq beats and up 15% with share repurchase and rule of 40 in 2026 - crazy good quarter 

$cvna is super far off from analysts but they made money - up 5% - they outline uncertain outlook 

$dkng beats and up 10% 

$COIN - beat with less of a loss than expected. They expect Q4 to be flat so the market beat them down - but it recovered. 

$PXD - special Dividend - $3.20 per share almost double what they paid last quarter. 

$aapl - beat on top and bottom and everything as expected - nothing shocking with services beating and a record along with iPhone sales as a beat and a record - all solid 

Weak Mac business (down 34% year over year) was def the reason for the rushed announcement launch - they are optimistic about the holiday season upgrades for Mac’s with the m3 chips 

Like I said - we seem to have held $170 - that in my mind is the key - this market keeps going up. China was not a problem - iPhone was not a problem - services continued to grow

CFO said iPad and wearables revenue will decline which brought the stock down. 

Jim Cramer thinks the cybertruck will fail because his buddy is Jim Farley at ford ….. remember - inverse always wins 

I’m finding seeking alpha quant interesting in that it does identify runners and moves them to a hold after that run up

$abnb - in line quarter but they brought down guidance - I just don’t see them hitting targets 

$etsy beat eps but missed revenues and ceo warned about q4 saying consumer discretionary spending is down - stock down 10% again 

$smci beat and up big on the day but it was a flat reaction. I still see this going far up from where it is - they raised guidance and basically supply of chips is the issue 

$pypl beat but the stock did nothing - probably time to cut ties and look in to other things 

$sedg missed on everything and guided down - the stock down 20% - glad I got out and saved some money

AMD CEO Lisa Su on earnings call: "we now expect data center GPU revenue to be approximately $400M in the fourth quarter and exceed $2B in 2024 as revenue ramps throughout the year.

SOFI - It’ll be interesting to see how they classify student loan repayments

Monday after the bell:

SPG - This is going to be key to see if the consumer is still spending

Tuesday after the bell

AMD - this should be a clear indication of how chips will do going forward.

AAPL - we have the big event announcing new products. This likely won’t move the stock, but it’s still a significant and later than normal event.

$PLTR - I really like the stock long term

QCOM - I still love this stock and think it’s quite solid and with INTC doing really well last week, I think the old guard of chips like QCOM might be coming back.

PYPL - this will be the first time the new CEO addresses their forward plan. The stock has been a dog even after I thought it would pull a rebound so I’ll be watching to see the margins. I don’t have huge hopes - but I am still holding.

SHOP - I’m super interested in this one as I think the pullback has been an opportunity.

LLY - the pullback might have been an opportunity to get in. I’ve said it before that GLP1 may be fantastic for any of these drug companies. AMGN reports on Tuesday, but LLY is in the Core Portfolio simply for their weight loss drug.

$MAT killed it - up 2% with results to $20.58

$IBM beat - up 2% - great quarter

$NOW beat by a really big margin - went up 8% right after - it took a while to digest. 

$META beat - initial reaction was DOWN - CRAZY - it went up by alot afterwards - lowering range of expenses in 2024 and reality labs is losing less - and they expect total revenue this year to be slightly down. 

“We are very subject to volatility in the macro landscape,” Chief Financial Officer Susan Li said on a call with investors to discuss third-quarter results. “The revenue outlook is uncertain” for 2024.

But Meta’s warning on potential global economic uncertainties that could impact revenue came alongside an expensive spending plan for 2024, mostly on AI infrastructure and talent. The company is also continuing its investment in the money-losing virtual reality division, known as Reality Labs.

Morning Gary, ive got a trade I would love you to take a look at. Company is planet fitness (PLNT). It’s in a renewed uptrend and I think it’s going to fill the gap up at $64. They have earnings coming up and may announce partnership or launch of a glp1 program (lifetime fitness recently did). Apparently those drugs require lots of exercise so you don’t lose muscle mass when you’re losing weight… anyhow hope you’re well!
