Damien Lewis is an author, filmmaker, and war correspondent.  

His investigative documentaries about human rights issues have appeared on major outlets including National Geographic, the BBC, Channel 4, and Discovery. He is currently a fellow of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust and the Royal Geographical Society. Damien Lewis is the author of numerous books, which include his SAS series comprised of Bravo Three Zero: The SAS Patrol That Got Away, Great Escapes: Seven Incredible Escapes by Second World War Heroes, Band of Brothers: The Last Stand of the SAS and Their Hunt for the Nazi Killers, Shadow Raiders: The Ultra-Secret Mission That Changed the Course of WWII, Ghost Patrol: The Ultra-Secret Unit That Posed as Nazi Stormtroopers, Italian Job: The Secret Mission to Storm a Forbidden Nazi Fortress, and his latest SAS Brothers in Arms, a book based on letters, diary entries, mission reports, and interviews with surviving WWII SAS veterans and their families. 

Among his other acclaimed works is Slave, an international bestseller that was adapted into a film and play. His recent book The Flame of Resistance examines the efforts of WWII heroine Josephine Baker, the highest-paid female entertainer in Europe before becoming an allied spy.
