In this episode I got to talk to mom and advocate, Erika Patrick. Erika talks candidly about her journey of motherhood and raising two children with Autism. She helps us understand what Autism is and how they knew they needed to reach out for help. Erika shares her how and her husband fought to get their children quality services to provide them with the best opportunities. Erika shares how research, knowing your rights and embracing the support of family has been essential for their family.

Erika is developing plans to launch More Than Words, which will share her family's experiences in hopes of helping other family's navigate theirs.

In this episode I got to chat with Kim Pegram. Kim has been an educator for over 20 years. Kim shares her story of resilience as she discusses how she has navigated grief and the journey to rebuilding her life after unexpectedly becoming a young widow.
