Many of us will either know of someone or have someone very close to us experience the fantastic services provided by The Hospice

The Hospice relies on funding from the public and their annual on street collection has been cancelled for a second year running due to the pandemic. Well, this year they are going online with 'The Virtual Sunflower Remembrance Garden'.

School politics can be tricky, and one parent has struggled with some in their child's new school.

Dermot and Dave recently received this email:

"Hi guys, I would love your opinion on something.  My kids attend a fantastic wee rural school.  We’re relatively new to it but have started to notice the influence that certain families seem to have over the school which didn’t surprise us that much to be honest. We just get on with it. 

However recently I managed (after many months) to donate 12 MacBook Pro’s to the school.  The principal did thank me but that’s been the height of it.  Am I wrong to expect more thank just an email of thanks?

To put it into perspective, they regularly do posts to Facebook thanking families for any type of donation including 2 Easter eggs and a few hurly sticks.  Maybe I’m overthinking it but feel completely deflated.  If that’s how much they care about a €6k donation then how much do they care about our kids? Considering moving school but hate the idea of it. Any advice welcome!"

'I've got a text!' is no longer reserved for Love Island participants. Thousands of us around the country are waiting for the text giving us an appointment to get the first (or second) dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

But for Bernard O'Shea, the text filled him with dread.

He suffers with a massive fear of needles, and going to Dublin's Helix Theatre was going to be a big step for him.

Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Bernard revealed where his fear of needles came from and how he overcame it to be dosed!

Dublin teen James McDonagh is only fifteen years old and is already very conscious of our world. He recently discovered that bees population are declining rapidly and this is not good news for us humans as Bees pollinate 90% of the worlds plants.
