After 50 years in politics, 36 years as a senator and 8 years as Vice President, Joe Biden will today be inaugurated as the 46th President of the United States of America. It's going to be an inauguration like no other, Washington DC is under an effective lockdown after the protests a few weeks ago, and Covid restrictions mean that there'll be no crowds.

Sadly, for Laurita Blewitt and her family in Mayo, restrictions also mean that they can't travel to the US to cheer on Cousin Joe as he takes on the most famous role in the world.

Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Laurita revealed how the family will be celebrating this afternoon and told us of her incredible friendship with Joe Biden.

Over the past number of years, there's been a dramatic decrease in the amount of time children spend being active. In particular, teenage girls 'fall off a cliff' when they get to secondary school.

The inactive teenagers are putting themselves at risk of conditions like osteoporosis and type 2 diabetes, and it's something that all of us have a part to play in preventing.

Niall Moyna, Professor of Clinical Exercise Physiology at Dublin City University, joined Dermot and Dave to explain the impact of low-activity on our children and the small steps we can all take to reverse it.

Well, the future is here and it's controlled by an app. Our own Dave Moore has one-upped his online shopping game and has moved away from buying useless bins into buying self-lacing shoes.

There's a new app on the market called 'ilaugh'. It's very similar to Instagram and TikTok but it's purely for laughter. Comedian Jason Byrne is one of the people behind the new app and he joined Dermot and Dave to tell them all about it.

Donegal pooch Alife is three things. He's very cute, he's very smart and OBSESSED with aerosol cans.

Not content with just sitting outside the human bathroom waiting on someone to give a spray, the border collie has taken to requesting a quick 'freshening up' after he's been to his own bathroom, aka the garden.

Alfie's human Stevie spoke to Dermot and Dave about his unique dog and explained why the pressure washer is banned in their gaff.

It's been a stressful 10 or 11 months and our lives have changed massively.

For many, there's no commute in the morning, there's more time in the evenings and because the pubs are closed, there's probably more alcohol around the house 'for the weekend'.

But when does a glass of wine go from 'a nice wind-down' to something that is a worry?

In a Mind Yourself Now special, Nicola Perry from Community Response told Dermot and Dave of the support that is out there if you're worried about your drinking.
