Author Russell Meek is here to discuss his book Ecclesiastes and the Search for Meaning in an Upside-Down World. Discover how the stories and poems in Ecclesiastes still speak to the brokenness of humans today.

Russ is a professor, writer, and editor. He studied Old Testament at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MA, biblical languages; Ph.D., Old Testament) and has taught at various colleges and seminaries since 2011. Russ also writes a twice-monthly column on the Old Testament at Fathom Magazine. He, his wife, and their three sons live in north Idaho, where you'll find them gardening, cooking, and trying to tame the havoc that three boys wreak.

Also, P. Todd Nettleton with Voice of the Martyrs will give us an update on what is happening with The Church globally, providing some guidelines on how we can pray for one another! 

Todd is the Chief of Media Relations and Message Integration for The Voice of the Martyrs and hosts The Voice of the Martyrs Radio. Todd serves as a voice for persecuted Christians through writing, speaking, and working with the media to tell people in the United States about the faithfulness of Christ’s followers in 70+ nations where they face persecution. His newest book, When Faith Is Forbidden: 40 Days on the Frontlines with Persecuted Christians, was published by Moody Publishers in 2021. Todd and his wife, Charlotte, have two grown sons and two daughters-in-law. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, writing, music, travel, and sports, including serving as commissioner of a fantasy football league.

Dr. George Barna, Director of Research at the Cultural Research Center, has a conversation with Dawn and Steve about some of the latest research on America's values and what this might mean to national unity. 

Dr. Barna is a professor at Arizona Christian University and leads the Cultural Research Center based at the university. His focus at ACU is worldview assessment and development, as well as cultural evaluation and transformation. He has written more than 50 books, mostly addressing cultural and religious trends, leadership, spiritual development, church dynamics, and cultural transformation. Dr. Barna remains a frequent speaker at ministry conferences around the world, sharing insights from his various research projects. After graduating summa cum laude from Boston College, Dr. Barna earned two Master’s degrees from Rutgers University and has a doctorate from Dallas Baptist University. Dr. Barna and his wife, Nancy, live on the California coast. They have three adopted daughters and three grandchildren.

He is the author of several books including Following Jesus in the Digital Age and The Age of AI: Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Humanity.

He is a graduate of The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. He also holds a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he is currently pursuing a PhD in ethics, public theology, and philosophy. He is married to Dorie and they have two sons. They live outside of Nashville, TN.
