Dr. George Barna provides insight into generational shifts in belief, life, and behaviors based on research from the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University.

Dr. Barna is a Professor at Arizona Christian University and Director of Research at its Cultural Research Center, focusing on worldview assessment and development, and cultural transformation. He is also the Sr. Research Fellow at Family Research Council Center for Biblical Worldview, and a Fellow at the Townsend Institute at Concordia University. To date, Barna has authored or co-authored 58 books addressing social and religious trends, worldview, leadership, spiritual development, church dynamics, and cultural transformation. They include New York Times and Amazon bestsellers and several award-winning books. George and his wife Nancy attended high school, college, and grad school together before marrying in 1978. They have three adopted daughters and three grandchildren and currently live on the central California coast and in Phoenix.

Dr. Kathy Koch (pronounced “cook”) is the Founder and President of Celebrate Kids, Inc., based in Fort Worth, TX, and a co-founder of Ignite the Family, based in Alpharetta, GA. She has influenced thousands of parents, teachers, and children in 30 countries through keynote messages, seminars, chapels, and other events. 

She is also a popular guest on Focus on the Family radio and other radio talk shows. Kirk Cameron chose her as the technology expert to interview in his 2018 movie, Connect: Real Help for Parenting Kids in a Social Media World. She has authored six books including Screens and Teens and 8 Great Smarts. Her newest book, Start with the Heart: How to Motivate Your Kids to Be Compassionate, Responsible, and Brave (even when you’re not around).

Dr. Kathy earned a Ph.D. in reading and educational psychology from Purdue University. She was a tenured associate professor of education at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, a teacher of second graders, a middle school coach, and a school board member before becoming a full-time conference and keynote speaker in 1991. She has loved Jesus for years and her faith and desire to serve and glorify God is the foundation of her ministry.

 Phil Herndon is in-studio to talk with us about narcissism from a biblical perspective. Phil Herndon (MA, LPC-MHSP, NCC) is the Clinical Director at River Tree Center in Murfreesboro, TN.  His therapeutic approach is grounded in the Spiritual Root System™ and is informed by the work of Irvin Yalom and Dan Allender. He also integrates perspectives from Judeo-Christian traditions, existential philosophy, and pastoral care. Phil completed graduate school in 1992 with Master of Arts degrees in counseling and religious education. Phil lives in Murfreesboro with his wife Sheila and they have one son, Luke.
