Days of our Lives fans are eagerly awaiting updates on the lives of Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens), who are in the midst of an adoption drama. With the trial for Johnny's attempted murder charges behind them, the couple could face a life-changing twist. Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), in a surprising turn of events, confesses to shooting EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) to save Rachel Black (Alice Halsey), leading to the charges against Johnny being dropped. 

DOOL sees Chanel and Johnny are currently fostering baby Tesoro, the biological child of Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) and Tate Black (currently Leo Howard). Sophia, who gave birth secretly and left the baby at a fire station, is now struggling with her decision. As the window for Sophia and Tate to reclaim Tesoro is closing, it could open up an opportunity for Johnny and Chanel to become permanent parents. 

Days of our Lives sees the end of Johnny's trial might prompt him to reconsider his readiness for fatherhood. A potential adoption would not only fulfill Chanel's dream of becoming a mother but also provide a loving home for Tesoro. As winter sets in Salem, Johnny, Chanel, Tate, and Sophia could all see significant shifts in their lives and relationships.
