Days of our Lives sees EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) is awake and his memory is expected to return soon, leaving fans speculating who the real shooter might be. Belle Black (Martha Madison) and Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) are off the suspect list.

DOOL also looks at Arnold Feniger (Galen Gering) and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). Roman Brady (Josh Taylor), Gaby Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez), Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), Ava Vitale (Tamara Braun), Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu), and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) are some of the key characters speculated by fans as possible shooters. The possibility of EJ's niece, Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) being the shooter is also being considered.
