Deanna Drinkar’s life-history of spiritual seeking feels universal. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – the LDS church, also known as the Mormons – she earned a degree in history from Brigham Young University, and then she worked in her church’s Family History and Genealogical department for more than twenty years. Deanna’s devotion to her faith was challenged following the death of her father in 2013, when he began to send her messages. She felt led by him into afterlife studies and NDE research. Today she tells us what Mormons believe about death and the afterlife, and how her wonderful newfound knowledge fits into her still-religious life. —
