Last time, our hero Jason dinAlt began his investigation into Deathworld. It would seem that, while inhospitable, it wasn't always so deadly to humans. The changes were sudden, too sudden for a natural evolution to have occurred. However, before Jason had a chance to report his findings to the de facto leader of the planet, Kerk Pyrrus, a terrible tragedy struck, and as a result, Jason now finds himself imprisoned awaiting deportation...
