In the previous episode, I talked about being in a place in your self-development journey that feels lonely. And I've been telling my listeners who hard I want to make it and the steps I've been taking to get there. Unfortunately, I hit a wall recently because I was overdoing it, and I'm feeling anxious instead. This episode is my realization and my advice to those who are feeling the same. Seek challenges in your life, but make sure you don't overdo it. It will help a lot if you find people ahead of you, or an accountability partner to be with you, or a mentor who can guide you.

Part of your growth and development journey is realizing that you will eventually outgrow your "old" world, and even your friends and family. There will come a time when you will no longer fit in, but you also haven't found what you were looking for. This is when you start to question yourself, and it can feel lonely. This "in-between" is called lonely land and I want to talk about that today because we need to understand that this is normal. Understand that it’s part of the process and others are going through this as well.

Today's topic is one that I've been leaning into recently, and I think it's a disservice if I don't share this with my listeners. Out of the six basic human needs by Tony Robbins, I wanted to focus on the last 2 in today's episode; and these are growth and contribution. I wanted to talk about these basic human needs because I believe these two are the most important. If we're going to get to the next level, we need to learn new things and do something beyond our comfort zone. And on that journey, you'd soon find yourself wanting to offer what you're good at with the world. You’d want to make an impact and contribute.

"Our dreams are predicated by the decisions we make in our life. Where you are at right now in your life is the compound effect of the choices you've made up to this point."
Let's chat about how your choices or decisions in life will affect your future. If you've been neglecting yourself or have been putting others' needs over yours, it's time to do some self-actualization. You have to decide what you want out of life and then ask yourself how you're designing your day-to-day to get to where you want to be. Lastly, I chat about the importance of getting around the right people. Be around a community of like-minded folks and, even better, a community that's laser-focused on growth.
