In a special midweek edition of Deer Diaries (A Milwaukee Bucks Podcast!) we were happy to be joined by the singular Kris Johnson to discuss a number of early season topics. Kris is 50% of the duo hosting Hear District (with his father, Marques Johnson, making up the other half) as part of the Bucks+ audio program network - on their weekly program they host guests from across the organization and NBA to discuss the Bucks, the league, and basketball in general.
We begin his appearance with a breakdown of Bucks-Celtics and our early season encouragements and concerns. Then, it is on to a way-too-early temperature check on all the players in Milwaukee's rotation (thus far) and the team's offense and defense. Finally, we close with a local's where-to guide of Los Angeles, covering ground from the city's best restaurants to its best music venues.
Thank you for joining, Kris!
The Milwaukee Bucks have successfully drunkenly stumbled out of the gate to start the 2024-2025 season, and the Deer Diaries crew is here to break all the misery down! Adam, Kyle, and Riley run through defensive concerns, offensive misfirings, how up the pessimists/haters are right now, and their general level of concern at Milwaukee's 1-2 start.
That, plus rapid fire, a new Robert Oster ink, and weekly predictions!
And we're back!
With the episode dropping on the day of the Milwaukee Bucks 2024-2025 season opener, it was only right that Kyle and Riley got together to put a final bow on their Season Preview Series of interviews.
The takes start with Tyler Smith being the most intriguing new Buck and they don't get any less insane from there!
We want to thank everyone who listened or watched any of our podcasts with guests. It was a lot of fun, and we look forward to another season podcasting the Bucks with you!
The Milwaukee Bucks 2024-2025 season is around the corner, but we've got a few Season Preview Series still to go! This week, we were happy to be joined by the newest member of Brew Hoop to gain his insights from the Southern Hemisphere.
Jack Trehearne is a welcome addition to our now one-man-strong Australian contingent. He brings plenty of basketball Xs and Os knowledge to the site, came upon Bucks fandom stocking store shelves, and is a Stanley Umude Believer to boot.
Welcome to the site, Jack, and more importantly, welcome to the Deer Diaries universe!
Fresh off an appearance by the current play-by-play announcer of the Milwaukee Bucks, Lisa Byington, we were delighted to have the opportunity to have her predecessor undergo the Season Preview Series treatment.
Jim Paschke needs no introduction for Bucks fans regardless of how long they've been following the team. While he has stepped back from the daily grind of covering the Bucks, he continues to follow both the team and league closely. His answers to our bevy of questions about the 2024-2025 Bucks reflected that.
All that, plus insight on how Giannis Antetokounmpo "pushed" him as a broadcaster and the debut of Jim's Miscellaneous segment: "Paschke's Passport".
Enjoy!
In the latest exciting edition of Deer Diaries (A Milwaukee Bucks Podcast!)'s ongoing Season Preview Series, we were thrilled to be joined by the TV voice of the Bucks, Lisa Byington.
Lisa was gracious enough to undergo our line of questioning to help set the table on the 2024-2025 season. From exciting new Bucks, to strengths/weaknesses, and everything between, we were grateful for her insight as someone with a unique point of view on the team.
All that, plus a special edition of Rapid Fire questions!
Deer Diaries (A Milwaukee Bucks Podcast!)'s Season Preview Series marches on once again, and we've got another crossover guest to restart things! This time around, fellow Bucks podcast extraordinaire Jordan Treske (GSPN/Win in Six) stopped by the recording booth to undergo the harrowing questioning we subject all our guests to.
As expected, Jordan brought some original answers to a number of the inquiries, and we were thrilled to debut yet another new Miscellaneous segment: Trip to the Treske Archive.
Enjoy!
As Deer Diaries (A Milwaukee Bucks Podcast!) reaches the halfway point in our Season Preview Series, we wanted to mix things up with a special visit from our friend behind @TeutoniaWorld.
And we're back with part two of our Season Preview Series interview with Brew Hoop's managing editor, Van Fayaz. We chat through team weaknesses, things to look forward to in the Milwaukee Bucks season to come, predicted season finish, and end with the latest edition of "Van's Warped Tour."
90s German techno, here we come!
We've got a two-parter! Brew Hoop's managing editor Van Fayaz stopped by the podcast booth to take part in our ongoing Season Preview Series of interviews with the BH staff (and beyond!). We ended up going pretty deep in the proper Brew Hoop fashion, so opted to break this episode up into two parts. In the first half we run through intriguing new Bucks, young Bucks with upside, and a few ranking questions to boot.
Part two will be out tomorrow!
