And we're back with part two of our Season Preview Series interview with Brew Hoop's managing editor, Van Fayaz. We chat through team weaknesses, things to look forward to in the Milwaukee Bucks season to come, predicted season finish, and end with the latest edition of "Van's Warped Tour."
90s German techno, here we come!
We've got a two-parter! Brew Hoop's managing editor Van Fayaz stopped by the podcast booth to take part in our ongoing Season Preview Series of interviews with the BH staff (and beyond!). We ended up going pretty deep in the proper Brew Hoop fashion, so opted to break this episode up into two parts. In the first half we run through intriguing new Bucks, young Bucks with upside, and a few ranking questions to boot.
Part two will be out tomorrow!
The 2024-2025 Season Preview Series of interviews gets back on track with a visit from Brew Hoop's man from inside the Forum, Gabe Stoltz. He deftly filled out his verbal survey to set his expectations for the Milwaukee Bucks season to come with a good deal of optimism to boot. That, plus the debut of his Miscellaneous segment: Hot Off The (Vinyl) Press!
Having gone from rookie podcaster to semi-regular co-host of Deer Diaries, a season ago, it was time for Brew Hoop's Jackson Gross to enter the Season Preview Series interview studio. As expected, a lot of his answers to our standard series of questions zigged where others had zagged, and the end result was a really fun conversation.
That, plus another edition of Jackson's Build, and, unexpectedly, more coaching talk - this time from the cross country world!
The Season Preview Series of interviews continues on with our first discussion with a current Brew Hoop staffer, site editor Morgan Ross! We run through our standard template of questions, talk the prevalence (or lack thereof) of Damian Lillard vanity license plates in Oregon, officially kick off the latest edition of Bobby Portis's 6MOY campaign, and run through the latest edition of, "Where in the World is Morgan Ross?"
The prodigal boss returns in this second edition of Deer Diaries's Season Preview interview series. Mitchell Maurer makes another triumphant return to the podcast studio to talk through our standard list of questions to help set the table for the 2024-2025 Milwaukee Bucks season. Is he an AJ Johnson believer? Where does Khris Middleton land in his pecking order? Taurean Prince????
All that and more, plus the debut of Mitchell Maurer's Coaching Chronicles where he walks us through the travails of youth basketball coaching, lessons he's learned along the way, and his aspirations for the coming year.
With the offseason coming to a close, Deer Diaries gets back in action with the start of our "Season Preview Series" of interviews.
It is a project we're excited for, featuring guests from fellow Milwaukee Bucks-focused podcasters, the entire staff of Brew Hoop, and beyond. Appropriately, we're thrilled to be able to kick this off with our colleagues from Locked on Bucks, Camille Davis and Justin Garcia.
We talk all things 2024-2025 Milwaukee Bucks including rankings, fill in the blanks, predictions, and much more!
With Milwaukee Bucks Summer League at an end and the team more or less wrapped up with free agency, Adam and Kyle underwent a rare, "Oops, all rapid fire!" episode of the podcast. Riley poses questions about the rookies, the full-roster young guys, whether we'll live long enough to see the Bucks win a SL title, intriguing new additions, rating Jon Horst's offseason, and, of course, our first Eight Man Rotation Challenge.
All that, plus traditional Rapid Fire and a review of "Inside Out 2" by Kyle!
With the Milwaukee Bucks miraculously picking not just one, but two teenagers in last week's NBA Draft, Riley and Kyle got together to make sense of it all. Is AJ Johnson two years away from being two years away? How likely is it that Tyler Smith can find some spot rotation minutes in year one? And can we even trust the organization's ability to develop young talent away from NBA minutes?
They discuss that, plus rapid fire questions and a review of Zac Efron's latest work, "A Family Affair".
We're back! Having taken the rest of the NBA playoffs off, Riley, Kyle, and Jackson assembled to recap the Milwaukee Bucks offseason thus far and do some draft prospect prep. They begin with the return of Darvin Ham, Giannis Antetokounmpo suiting up for Greece, out of shape Dame, Malik Beasley (probably) departing, and more. Then, they run through team needs leading up to the 2024 NBA Draft, discuss center, wing, and guard prospects of interest before wrapping with Rapid Fire and the latest edition of "Jackson's Build"!
