Deidre Pujols is first and foremost a woman of faith, wife of famed baseball player Albert Pujols, and mother of five. She and her husband founded the Pujols Family Foundation, which seeks to help those living with Down syndrome here at home and to improve the lives of the impoverished in the Dominican Republic. 

She also created Open Gate International, which provides vulnerable individuals with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to obtain meaningful employment, while empowering them to develop a happy, healthy life. 

In 2017, Deidre and her husband Albert, founded Strike Out Slavery, an initiative that aims to spread awareness about modern-day slavery and help an international network of nonprofit organizations rally against it.
