Mark 9: 30-41.

Mark 9:14-29.

Failure is seldom cherished but it can bring in a world of good. For believers failure has a purpose. When we fail, God used our failure to reveal our deep need for Jesus. It reveals our need for for faith in Christ (and not ourselves) while also revealing our need for prayer.

Mark 9:2-13.

Quite despite outward appearance, there is more than meets the eye with Jesus. He is not some ordinary guy. Jesus is the glorious Son of God. His transfiguration proves it to be so as Mark calls us to look, listen, and behold the glory of the Son.

Mark 8:34-9:1.

Jesus is the Christ who must suffer and die. The question then becomes, "What does this mean for me?" Jesus answers this question by telling us that the King who must die on a cross has followers who must die to self.

Mark 8:27-33.

Who is Jesus? What did he come to do? The moment has come for the disciples to wrestle with these two questions. Jesus asks the Twelve, "Who do you say that I am?" This is the question that we must all wrestle with answer. Mark drives home the point that Jesus is the Christ who had to die and rise again so we can have life in Him.

Ephesians 6:10-20.

Disciples who make disciples not only INVEST in others but they also INVITE others to respond to the gospel. In order to do this we need Spirit-led words and Spirit-filled boldness. Paul calls us to pray these very truths for one another. In this sermon we look at a biblical foundation for INVITING, equip with a practical tool for speaking the gospel, and spend time in corporate prayer for one another.

John 4:1-42.

Sacrificial and intentional. This is what investing in others for the sake of the gospel involves. This is what we find Jesus doing as He interacts with the Samaritan woman at the well. From the King himself we learn what lies at the heart of making disicples.

At Delta Church we exist to MAKE, MATURE, and MULTIPLY disciples. A mature disciples is a witnessing disciples. Mark 8: 1-21.

At times, negative examples serve us well. In another interaction with Jesus' disciples and yet another interaction with the religious leaders, we learn three lessons in what not do as we follow Jesus.

Mark 7:31-37.

Sin destroys. It infects and invades everything and everyone. What we need is someone who can restore and reverse sin's decaying effects. Mark tells us that King Jesus is the One. He has the power to restore what sin has destroyed. This not only includes restoring sin's destruction in the big categories of life, but most importantly it includes restoring us into a right relationship with God through the death and resurrection of the Savior.
