That’s the view of the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Mirjana Spoljaric, whose neutral, impartial and independent aid teams – among many other things – support those trapped in conflict through no fault of their own.
UN News’s Liudmila Blagonravova spoke to Ms. Spoljaric at UN Headquarters in New York on Tuesday, after she addressed the UN General Assembly on the issue, making a call for international law to be made an urgent political priority.
