Zig Ziglar, author and motivational speaker, says, “If you aim at nothing, you'll hit it every time.” Too often that’s what we do with relationships and our marriage; we don’t have a plan or a goal set to make our relationships better and we end up aiming at nothing. This causes us to drift away from our partner and into an unhealthy, unintentional relationship.

My guests today believe that intentionally designing your marriage is a vital concept for a strong relationship. Ashley and Dino Petrone have been married for 16 years and they live in Florida with their four children. Dino is a Senior Engineer while Ashley is a full-time mom, blogger, and interior designer. Together they have authored a new book called Designed to Last: Our Journey of Building an Intentional Home, Growing in Faith, and Finding Joy in the In-Between.

Let me tell you, they have quite a story! From selling everything they owned and living in a trailer as a family for a period of time to purchasing and redesigning an inn to coming to terms with where their true identity lies, Ashley and Dino have a lot of wisdom to share.
