Welcome back to the health series. Today is part one of two shows with Dr. Josh Axe. This conversation is so good I wanted to break it into two parts.
We discuss the importance of great health, self-care, and supporting hormonal and digestive health. We also discuss fats, proteins, collagen, bone broth, the very surprising thyroid research, and the health benefits of sourdough bread.

Welcome to the health series. In the next few weeks, I'll have so many guests sharing all they know about health. I'll also do my shows and share my health journey with you.
I have a lot to share. I'm not an expert in anything. I'm just somebody who's trying to get healthier, right? I have spent the last year getting in shape, taking care of myself, lowering my stress, and doing everything I can to help me feel better. After a whole year of experimenting, I want to share it with you.
I’m so excited, I put together a free resource for you of everything I'm talking about. What to use, how to use it, what causes aging, and what you can do that’s science backed and research tested to lessen aging. It’s in the show notes here, the YouTube description, the link is in my profile on Instagram.
Because skincare and anti-aging are so huge, we will break this show into two parts. We're gonna do half today and half next week, or else it's just gonna be the longest show ever for just you and me.

Do you ever feel like your mind is in overdrive, constantly buzzing with too much information? It's like your brain is running a marathon, but instead of getting stronger, you're just getting more and more exhausted.
Today, I'm going to share a surprising three-step formula that can help you hit reset and reclaim your peace of mind, because I think this is how most of us are living right now.
What we consume matters. The information you consume impacts your mood and your relationships. The wrong inputs will drain your energy and keep you from being your best self.
We need an information diet. By choosing what we consume, we free up our minds for what really matters. We will be happier and feel more content.
Three steps to start your information diet:
When you’re mindful of our inputs you’ll fill your mind with good, take control of what you let in, and you’ll feel more clear and empowered.
Favorite quotes:
01:12 - “Most of us know to be able to guard our peace, we need to stay connected to God. We need to have prayer time every day, but we also forget a really important next step. We need to have an information diet.”
01:51 - “By choosing what we consume intentionally, we free up our mental energy for the things that truly matter.”
05:56 - “I want you to prioritize content and information that inspires you, that teaches you, that helps you become the person that you want to be.”
11:30 - “It's all about choosing wisely and setting limits and feeding your mind with positivity. So when you're mindful of your inputs, you'll find yourself with more peace and more focus and more energy to live the life that you were meant to live.”

This week I share a beauty product and a TV series that I’m loving. The first is a Scalp Massager. Imagine a circle that you hold in your hand with little squishy points that you can use in the shower to wash your hair. It just feels lovely! You need a scalp massager like yesterday.
The second thing I share with you this week is season 3 of the most wonderful show in the world - Only Murders in the Building. It’s on Hulu and it’s amazing. Seasons and episodes are short. It’s a really good time and is well done. It’s just a fun, fun show.

I love it. You're going to love it, and you're going to want to go back and watch or listen to it over and over again. She's just that good. There are so many truth bombs, light bulb moments, and great things to take away every time we have Kendra on the show, and today is no different.
Kendra Adachi is the New York Times bestselling author of several books and host of the nationally-ranked The Lazy Genius Podcast. As an expert in compassionate time management, Kendra helps others stop doing it all for the sake of doing what matters.

Join Kendra and I as we talk about:
10:16 - “Live your life and enjoy this the best you can. See the good that is here right now. Recognize that you know now isn't forever, but you're here now. This is the season that you're in.”
12:35 - “You name the season you're in and what matters to you most. That is the foundation of everything.”
13:34 - “We have this expectation that every day needs to be the best day. We're always hustling to recreate this ideal day, this best day. I think that just does us such a disservice because like there's so much pressure, number one. But it also is like keeping us for being present with what's going on.”
18:34 - “You need to stop putting projects on your to-do list.”
28:18 - “The Holy Spirit and therapy are the top two things that have taught me the goodness of kindness.”
33:20 - “We've got to have a foundation of kindness and compassion with how we look at our lives first.”

Hi friend! Today I share about navigating uncertainty by developing a strategy and keeping moving forward. Here’s the truth - regardless of who wins elections or the state of our circumstances, God is still in control. He’s not surprised by what happens; He has a plan for us all.
But we have to live on Earth for now, and it's wild and uncertain. We each have a laundry list of difficult things, things that scare us, groceries cost approximately $3 billion, and things that give us a little bit of anxiety. So what do we do?
We get wise, develop a strategy, and keep going. We want to make sure that our strategy will keep us strong and sane and keep us moving forward.
Super practical tips I share to navigate the uncertainties of life:
Stay firmly planted, keep your anxiety in check, and plan well so you can live fully today and in the future. Remember your history with God and try out these tips! You’ve got this!

Let me tell you what I’m loving this week. Frownies Facial Patches are little craft paper triangles that you put on your forehead at night and when you wake up, your forehead is smooth and lovely. I put three on my forehead at night. I’m doing everything I can to fight aging and I’m really loving these.
Favorite quotes:
02:11 - “The most important thing to do when navigating uncertainty is to look back on our long history with God.”
06:58 - “Where I see so many women self-sabotaging more than any other way is by not investing in themselves.”
08:04 - “So I want you to stay present. Don't let yourself spiral down in the fear of the future and all the what-ifs, but make some choices for your future self.”
08:35 - “I want you to put your thoughts on trial. Now, we all have crazy thoughts. We all have thoughts of things falling apart in the future. You know, those what-ifs can drive us crazy. What we need to do is really examine those thoughts and not just assume every thought is true.”
09:36 - “If something negative is likely to happen, the smartest thing you can do, the most strategic thing you can do is make a plan to either stop it and take action or make a plan to mitigate the damage. We don't have to be victims. We aren't powerless.”

Welcome back! This is a special day because my friend Lysa TerKeurst is on the show. She is talking about her new book, I Want to Trust You, but I Don't. Who hasn't been in that situation? Who hasn't wanted to trust when we just don't feel like we can?
This message is so good. Every time Lysa comes out with a new book, I'm always so excited to have her on the show and for us to talk about this with you because of the depth of her understanding and what she has gone through. The way she gives handles to women to pick up a message and carry it with them is so powerful. So you're going to get a lot from this.
Lysa TerKeurst is president and chief visionary officer of Proverbs 31 Ministries and the author of seven New York Times bestsellers, including Good Boundaries and Goodbyes, Forgiving What You Can't Forget, and It's Not Supposed to Be This Way.
In her new book, I Want to Trust You, but I Don't: Moving Forward When You’re Skeptical of Others, Afraid of What God Will Allow, and Doubtful of Your Own Discernment, Lysa shares her proven formula for trust and how to enact it in any relationship.

Here’s the big question this week - “If I wanted to make 85-year-old me miserable, what would I do?” Let’s dive into some key areas of our lives and talk about a topic that isn’t the easiest to discuss: regrets. You know, there are some common regrets people have as they reach the end of their lives, but the great news is we can change that right now.
How do we avoid the pitfalls of regret when we’re at the end of our life and ensure that our 85-year-old selves are filled with joy, purpose, and living the life God has for us?
It’s not about secret insider info but rather about self-reflection. Real change and real success comes over time from having a wise counselor ask you the right questions at the right moment. I believe this is the right moment for you!
Here are three practical tips to not make 85-year-old-you miserable:
Take a moment to think about three small things, three small habits, that you can start that will get you a little bit closer to where you want to be.
Favorite quotes:
01:34 - “Wisdom comes from life experience, prayer, reflection, and getting asked the right question at the right moment.”
02:37 - “So many people had the exact same regrets.”
06:57 - “We should work on our happiness. We should do everything possible to live healthy, happy, and Godly lives.”
12:11 - “Sometimes we need to think of the cost of not doing something because we get so used to the status quo we can't even imagine how much better it will be if we're willing to invest.”
13:14 - “Remember, small changes equal big results.”
