We’re joined by Tiffanie this week to eat buffalo chicken wraps, curly fries, and what we came up as an alternative to sourdough soft tacos (Jack in the Box tacos and sourdough bread) not recommended. After sipping our cups of love potion laced tea, we talk about Shrek 2. This is one of Tiffanie’s favorite films. We all have our own problems with holes the film’s story but all of us agree that the pop references and gags are so great the film deserves tens all around. We’ll wait until we watch Shrek 3 to start tearing the franchise apart.

This week, we continue our heroin-filled foray into film with Trainspotting. We ate Renton’s detox diet of tomato soup, mushroom soup, and vanilla ice cream which didn’t mix well in our stomachs. It’s a good thing we’re all mates and had a clean bathroom instead of the worst toilet in Scotland.  Oh, baby.

We take our diet to new extremes this week. We don’t juice or do keto and we certainly don’t want to eat any nasty grapefruit, which would just make us all miserable, so we decided to eat hard-boiled eggs and bagels before discussing Requiem for a Dream. Is this film about making addicted people miserable just for misery’s sake or is there something in the story that makes the misery much more meaningful? We’ll let you ponder the film’s existential crisis. We’re going to lay off the hard stuff for now. The refrigerator needs our attention.

We set the table this week with our finest cutlery to eat baked beans with sausage and Biscoff cookies before we try to keep everything down and discuss Knives Out. We gentlemanly ascertain that this is one of Jose’s favorite movies to watch while he eats milk and cookies.

We’re aided in our unwavering search for who done it this week by watching Clue and eating mock shark fin soup only because we couldn’t find the monkey’s brains. We all agree that the film has holes and its multiple endings don’t really line up with the rest of the film, but the comedy and performances are treasures that are to die for.

Jose seeks food in happy meals, Blake boldly goes where he has never gone before, and Brandon gets lost in the final frontier as we discuss Star Trek: The Motion Picture. There’s a lot to unpack in this pop culture film. We do our best to make your trip through the stars as entertaining as possible on a ship where no one eats, sleeps, or goes to the bathroom.

We’re joined by our good friend Kyle this week to eat a dinner of roast chicken, grapes, oranges, bread, and some fresh milk; and discuss Pan’s Labyrinth or El Laberinto del Fauno in Spanish. We all agree that it’s a great film, but some of us have different opinions on what could have made it better. Jose thinks the Spanish lisp is obnoxious and hard to ignore. Brandon thinks that The Faun should be more deceiving. Blake thinks Ofelia’s death is an example of Heaven being an instant. Kyle thinks we’re just crazy and has vowed to return during our favorite films and completely tear us apart. No matter what we all think, we know you’ll love the film also.

This week, we eat cornbread, canned corn, corn on the cob, and Corn nuts before we talk about Interstellar. Is the science sound? As long as Matthew McConaughey is talking in his sexy drawl in a film with spectacular cinematography, who cares? Love may be something that can transcend space, time, and gravity and we’re willing to believe it as long as Timothée Chalamet can act like he has some emotion too.

This week, we travel to a South Korean basement to eat some wonderful Ram-don and fruit before we discuss Parasite. We all agree that it’s one of the best films we've seen so far and we have the ability to smell when something’s really good. All of us struggling artists and critics can appreciate the metaphorical meanings in the film, but we may all be begging to be hit in the head at any time by a fortune granting rock.
