The path to joy is not found looking inward where our sinful nature steers us to anger, bitterness, jealousy, fits of anger, or anxiety. Joy comes from knowing God and the life-changing truths found in the Bible. It, together with love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are all ours every day in Christ.
Sinners sinning against sinners. It is the perfect environment for bitterness to take root. God warns against it because it gives the devil a foothold into our lives. Bitterness destroys relationships and that doesn't end with people.
