Good potential but......

Decent story or as much as you can expect with a wimpy alpha male. Can you really be an "Alpha Male" if you whine and waffle back and forth about how you are treating your potential mate? Its like the author tried to manufacture conflict between the hero and heroine, but it didn't seem very sincere. What happened to assertive, hard-ass, aggressive, equaling alpha? Drake (the want-a-be alpha) was a very disappointing male. It probably didn't help that all of the male voices sounding like sex pots. Instead of male voices it sounds like sexy, husky, women talking instead of men. The other characters constantly tell you how good of a pride leader Drake is but he didn't show it. Although the female voices were good and I liked their character, most of the time. But Tabby (the heroine) got on my nerves instead of causing me to feel empathy or sympathy part of the time. She spends a lot of her time throwing a pity party. Don't get me wrong, her circumstances have been hard but there should have been a better way of expressing it. Lets suck it up and be strong!

I also must admit that I am being premature, because I am on chapter 10 and have 8 more to go. Audible doesn't let you come back and update your reviews, so there is a possibility that this will go from mediocre to good. I am keeping my fingers crossed. But as of right now they are so freaking sappy I want to shut it off, but, darn it, I used my credit so I am going to stick it out! ugh!!!!

Wow.. what a shocker!!!

I wish there was a second and third book! What a shocker...

Shifter who were abuse run away to another clan and the leader takes care of them... Well Two adult shifters and two children run away from bad clan and then the adult, with her new goes back and blow the bad clan to smitherines!!! Seriously!!! I am tired... Stayed up just to finish... Didn't want to put it down... What a shocker...

Narration was really good tooo..

Couldn't put it down!

Unique, entertaining, and adventurous. Couldn't put it down until I'd read the last page!

Immersive story

This is an extremely well-written novel. The world building is immersive and believable and the characters are complex and loveable. Like all good novels, the motivations of the characters are so in-depth that they make you look at the world in a slightly different way after thinking out why this character would do this. This book was almost impossible to put down until I had finished it and I plan to seek out other novels by this author.

Physical chemistry ....... you just can't fight it

Sara, a security expert and bodyguard is hired by her ex friend and one night stand's Father to protect him because he's getting death threats. The sexy one night stand (Gideon) has just returned from a tour of duty and is disillusioned and suffering from PTSD and tries to stop her taking the job.

Sara, haunted by the hot night they shared, still has feeling for Gideon, but he's pushing her away by rejecting her professionally and emotionally. However, she's a stubborn professional and sticks with the plan ..... and she still wants him despite everything. Slowly Gideon and Sara call for a 'cease fire' and engage in conversation, shared nightmares and that was followed by attraction and finally the start of romance.

The interactions between the two lead characters are touching as they both fought the sexual chemistry with tender looks, verbal insults and temper outbursts. As the threats on the Father escalates Sara's true secret paranormal abilities as an Earth Angel are brought out and all changes between the two as Gideon nurses her back to health with 'hands on' treatment (not very graphic).

Worth a credit? It was an easy going, enjoyable listen but it was also tepid rather than hot however, if you want an interesting thriller/romance then this is your book.

I was disappointed with the first book, but this one was much better. I'm glad I read the first one, as this book didn't really explain much so I needed that background information to know what was happening - but it was a pretty good read.

Narrator can't do voices

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Narrator is not consistant with the voices, I had trouble keeping up with who said what and her male voices were plum bad!Rosalyn Landor or Julia Motyka would of done a better job. There was a lot of details we didn't need and a lot that should of been in this story.

Love love love

I'm friends with Heather so picked this up and was super happy that this was a brilliant "read" too!! Great book, great story and thoroughly enjoyed it whilst on holiday! You won't put it down (as such).

Celebrity fashion

Snap: the World Unfolds is a peek into the media world world of celebrities sightings, jet setting and luxury, except this company holds its meetings after dark and bulls blood is the cocktail of choice. Maxie is Snap's latest hire and she's got a lot of catching up to do to understand her new employers, and sexy, glimmering Jean Louis who just may have a thing for her. That is, if Maxie can embrace his culture--with grace. It's hard, especially because she's the target of a nefarious plot to destroy the Kandesky clan and steal their assets.

I loved the look into celebrity media. The story barrels along with one surprise after another, and following Maxie's induction into an everlasting life of glamour, refinement and high fashion journalism is delightful. She's not one to go quietly--even with a beautiful lover waiting for her. This was a fun read!

Is this book 1?

I don't think this is book one in the series which really hurts the story. I was so confused. I stop listening halfway thru b/c I couldn't follow along.

Demon and Fallen Angel love story.

Not too bad for a short story. I like to break up the long stories with short stories like this. I hope it will be good, but I don't expect much. This is about a fallen angel meeting a demon beauty and within a day fall in love, but what do you expect with only two hours. I think the author could have easily expounded on the story and made it into a full length story. Narrator was nothing special, but I have heard much worse. I would wait until a semi-annual sale if you are considering this book.

Good storyline...but fell short

This had sooo much potential.... but... totally fell short. It kept skipping parts. I think it was missing chapters or something. I would wait until author goes back and redo. The author is on the right track however... I can see the potential...but needs to be a bit more.... what is the word... together...???

Magical intrigue

I've had this book on my wish list for months but I had been hesitant about getting it. I'm glad I did. Ava makes a forbidden deal with Heyerdar to try to get the man she has been in love with for 10 years. Things do not go like she planned.

I like all the magic in the story. It's different for my usual paranormal listens. No vampires or lycans in this book. It's a good listen and I felt it was a credit well spent. I wish I had gotten it sooner.

Beyond Incredible and Absolutely Amazing!

I love everything that Caridad Pineiro writes, but I especially love her vampire Calling Series. It's been a long time since the last book in the series, Fury Calls, was published in 2009. There have, of course, been vampire novels aplenty since then but few reach the caliber and beauty that Pineiro gives her vampires.

Kissed by a Vampire is absolutely flat out incredible. I have always loved Stacia ever since she showed up in the Calling Series and have always wanted her to find a true love to melt her cold heart. I wondered what it would be like to have her as a heroine when she's been a supporting character throughout the series. I'm so thrilled that Stacia got her own book and it was well worth the wait to see her in the spotlight.

Stacia is a very unconventional heroine and meets her match in Alex Garcia. Both characters meshed really well for me and the romance between them moved naturally with no forced moments. Instead, the love affair between them is genuinely touching and wonderful to watch as it unfolds.

Not only is Kissed by a Vampire incredibly well written, it flows so smoothly that you'll be done the book before you realize it.
