Unnecessary Story

This book wasnt for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Someone who's looking for a quick, and sweet read.

What was most disappointing about Lia Daviss story?

How this wasn't even a second chance love story, but a love story of convenience. I truly feel that this story was unnecessary, these two characters could've been mention in book 4 as mates, there didn't need to be a novella about them. Also, nothing in this story brought progress to this series, it was a filler.

I honestly loved this.....it sucked me in from the very beginning and I couldn't put this down! I listened to it all at once and can not wait for the next one!

This is about the war between good and evil to start with...Mainly about a girl named Addison who is stripping her way through college and has always been a little bit different....she has a very dark inner monologue and has never known why....Then we have Jack and Micah who are guardians who protect the children of angels called nephlum...Well Addison is one of these children...and she does not accept this easily....there is a bit of fighting, and a nice love story to go along with everything else and it ends on a little cliffhanger.....Thoroughly enjoyed it!!! 2 thumbs up!!!!

Another amazingly told story

I bought this book directly after I read the first book in this series. I read it from start to finish, not putting the book down. Again, some parts had me in tears but the book was amazing. I am so looking forward to the rest of the books in this series. They can't get here soon enough!

The Kiss of Angels

I really enjoy this series! So much that I pre-ordered it but when the author offered a copy of it for an honest review I accepted but forgot to cancel my pre-order. And I'm okay with that. LOL! I loved Muriel and Char. That's all, end of story. Well, maybe I should talk about the emotion in The Kiss of Angels. I don't know if it was what is currently going on in my life or the story or maybe the combination but Muriel grabbed my heart and wouldn't let go. There was so much she wanted to know about love but being a cupid you would think love was something she understood. It took meeting Chariel, an Angel of Death, for her to get to the essence of love.

I love Ms. Kitts interpretation of souls, Cupid, and the Angel of Death. There were several scenes that Muriel's reactions to the events had me in tears.

What disappointed you about Hunter's Heart?

Why do authors think it's OK to put filthy disgusting language in their books. This was a total waste of money. I only listened to the first half hour. Erica Hayes needs to wash her mouth (and brain) out with soap. How do people become so vile?

This has been a 5 star series all the way through the author gives you an action pack read full of danger and thrills that will keep you guessing as she throws in a little humor to keep you smiling. I have totally enjoyed the first two books in this series as the author pulls and gives you a page turner that keeps you wanting more. D.I.R.E is a company that has went one step ahead with enhancements of electrical conductor that former Navy SEAL Aidan must learn to control as he fight to bring justice not only for his father but the world.

Aidan meets Cassandra whose father has been the long time foe of the D.I.R.E. I have to say I got a kick out of how she got the better of him. Cassandra is full of surprises as she takes on the D.I.R.E and her father. She finds out more than she ever wishes she had. Everyone is holding secrets that they might not want others to find out. Aidan wants to find the person who killed his father all eyes are pointed to Cassandra father but not everything is as it seems. Someone else might have things they want settled as the author takes you on a whirl spin of suspense to uncover who did what to whom.

Cassandra loves her father but I think she is more afraid of him than she loves him. She has learned it is easier to toe the line than to see his vengeful wrath. Even shot and almost dying will not stop her father from doing what he wants. He has taken one man away from her will he take another? She is very attracted to Aidan but she can't afford to let those feeling grow he is the enemy or is he? Her father even on deaths door has a few things to say about it and none of them being good. I really liked this character as she grows and becomes strong enough to stand up to the man who raised her.

Aidan is full of surprises as he falls for the oldest trick in the book. She might get away but he always gets his man or women. He is very protective, caring and at times loving. I had to laugh at him a few times as he falls on his face only to be pulled back in one way or another.

The last 20 percent was good

I'm not certain why I keep reading Heather Graham, except that in her first books, she did so ver well with her characters and working up to her finale, keeping my interest for the entire book. The last six or so I have read however, I simply keep plodding along as does she, waiting for it to get interesting, which does not happen til the very end if the book. I am therefore, officially to the end of paying for here overpriced books, earned simply by the merits of her first efforts, never to be seen again. Goodbye Heather Graham.

It was ok. I was a little bored at times. It was predictable. I was 90% sure who the killer was from the get go.

I thought it was pretty stupid that they split up and went to different bars. Why would you leave the woman you love protected only by older man? Why didn't Billy just go to the other bar to protect Jenny? Speaking of Jenny, oh my goodness, has there ever been a more annoying character?

I was happy to read the relationship between Quinn and Danni was so much better than the other two books. I felt their connection this time.

Something about these three books was just, I don't know the right word for it. It was like watching a movie the was B rated, but kind of good too. After reading the first two books, I waited for the price to go down.

Great mystery. I enjoyed it.

This is a good suspense story. Musicians lives are at risk and Danni, Quinn and others are on the job to solve the mystery. At issue is what might be a magic sax and the length at which the person obsessed with this instrument will go to find it. The Cheshire Cat becomes a safe place for many people but nerves are still on edge. There are twists and turns that throw you off track...just in case you think you have it figured out. Is this vague enough for you? It's a good story that will keep you captivated.

Great read

Each story in this series is good. This was a bit different than the first two; great suspense but lacking the edgy paranormal twist. The characters really live with good descriptions. There are only two things which kept me from giving this five stars.

Great epic

This is 2017 and this book's copyright is 2009. Is this the end of this series? I hope not. I really enjoyed both books.

Belinda is a hard person to like but I end up liking her. What happens next

Four and a Half, rounded up

The only reason why this book is 4.5 stars and not 5 is because I do not think that Murphy's "alien race" tie in is done as effectively as it could be. While it creates an interesting motivation for the protagonist (Belinda) to make the decisions that she does, I think that the general tie in of the "alien story" to the action is a little weak.

This book does not stand alone easily. I would definitely recommend that you readThe Queen's Bastard (The Inheritors' Cycle, Book 1)first.

The political intrigue and diplomatic plays that began in The Queen's Bastard are more intense, more complete, and more interesting in this book. If you enjoy books likeKushiel's Dartfor the political espionage, you will enjoy this series. (Mind, this series is not as good as Carey's work with the Kushiel's Legacy series, but they're in the same realm.) Also improved upon: the character development. All of the characters have rounded out to more complex shades of gray, an improvement all around though you will probably find yourself liking Javier a little less (he's a bit more whiny in this book).

In short: read this book, even if you weren't thrilled with "Queen's Bastard." It's an improvement and a solid, gripping read.

(I was so engrossed in it at one point, I had reached the end of the metro line and the train and platform had cleared of all other people before I snapped out of it long enough to get off the train before it went to the station yard.)

Don't you just love men who are dragons?

It seemed odd to have a future world populated with leaders who bound the populace with such medieval attitudes, especially regarding women. The character of the heroine was fairly well developed, and strong-minded and with an evolving personality. Some of the male characters seemed rather vague in spite of their roles in the society or the story. Somehow, it seemed to lack the kind of cohesiveness I was looking for.

The audio performers are each very good at their craft and contributed strongly to the overall enjoyability of this piece. I feel that it would have been even better if their voices had been intertwined throughout rather than in alternating fashion.

Yes, I would. The 3 narrator/character perspective made this very interesting. You didn't have 1 person trying to give full emotion to all of the characters. By Ms. Holloway, Mr. May and Mr. Stillwell each taking a lead character they were able to make them their own.

Have you listened to any of the narratorss other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to a short story read by Mr. Stillwell and felt that this book was just a good. I've not listened to anything by Ms. Holloway or Mr. May but I would like to.

Fire of Stars and Dragons is the first in the Stars and Souls series. While this book takes place in the future, the United States is back under the rule of a king and woman are treated like property.

The Sitheri are a clan of aliens who live on the planet Khaosali, and their Leader, Angen, has just died. In his final words, he names his sons Carver and Ithril as his successors, expecting them to work together to continue to lead their people. They've both been at their father's side for years and have been groomed to take over leading their people and fighting the Des'kos invasion that their father had been keeping at bay since they were children. But Ithril isn't interested in co-leadership with his soft-hearted brother. The people like Carver more, but in his mind, Ithril is what they need. Which is why Carver wakes up on a transporter headed for Earth not even hours after their father's death.

Carver knows that his brother's rashness is just going to make things worse with the Des'kos, but there's little he can do about it from Earth. Especially with his ship broken in his rough landing on Earth and lacking fuel. With his communications device in need of charging, there's not even anyone he can contact. Of course, sometimes luck is with him, and he forms a bond with Vivian Wilkins, a quiet human girl with a head for technology and a healthy dose of curiosity who just might be able to get him back his people in time to keep them from destroying themselves and give him something he never knew he was looking for as well.

This book wasnt for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I never got to the story. I had to quit about two paragraphs in.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Karen Dubey?

Almost anyone! I am an avid reader and audiobook listener. My audiobook library has almost 3500 books and I must say that on some of these books the narrator should be FIRED along with the person that said " hey you did a good job" I pay good money for the audiobooks I purchase. I expect that the person you hire not to sound like a computer generated voice! Karen Dubey is not the worst narrator I have ever heard but she defiantly makes the top 20. It was painful to listen to literally.

Haven't finished it. Just but the book in a different form this is bad.
