There are many stages to abuse as well as the recovery from abuse. It is up to us to bring to the light the things that help survivors on their journey. I found finding resources all around me was and has continued to be the life source to me and my new found freedom. Always remember butterflies are not just caterpillars who turn into butterflies, there are many stages they go through before their wings dry off and the fly away. Let your wings grow and you'll become the beautiful butterfly you were always meant to be.

This is the time when an abuser will utilize all of their abusing tactics that do not allow for any personal freedoms. This is actually what kidnappers use to keep their victims captive. Forgiveness just like vengeance is a choice. As those abused must heal from the wounds that have been left behind, forgiveness is a huge part to the healing. Do we want our wounds to become infected with the yuck of the ooze from abuse which leaves us bitter wanting nothing but for them to pay for what they have done to you.
