It was a beautiful sunny day on July 30th 2022, as many people flocked to the popular Apple River Wisconsin. But soon a tragic series of events would leave the clear waters of Apple River running red . 52 year old Nicolae Miu was using his snorkel to retrieve a friend’s lost phone, which a nearby group of youths took offence to claiming he was looking at “little girls”. As name calling and a confrontation between the group of youths and Miu began, it quickly escalated into a fight, leaving 5 people injured and one boy 17 year old Isaac Schuman fatally wounded after being stabbed in the heart. Miu was recently found guilty of 1st degree reckless homicide for Isaac’s death, as well as guilty on 5 other counts. You can just see that this polarising case has left many people online outraged claiming Miu acted in self defence . But theres also many people on the other side of the fence saying he had time to walk away without killing anyone and is therefore culpable and a murderer . Until one day, as a supervised visit with his son’s 7 year old Charlie & 5 year old Braden suddenly goes from a normal day to a violent & horrifying nightmare . Just when it seemed the baffling case of Susan’s disappearance & suspected murder couldn’t get any worse it took an even more tragic turn, taking more innocent lives in the process & in the most horrific way. The gravity of this horrendous case reverberated around the world, making international news as the Cox family continued to search for their beloved daughter who they still have never been able to lay to rest.
