Angelina Altishin shares her experience of losing her husband after 35 years of marriage and moving to Laguna Beach with her son. She shares with Claudia what it took for her to start, the challenges she has to face and what motivated her to get out of bed on days that she didn't want to face the world and her 5-year grief journey and emphasizes the importance of focusing on private victories before public ones.  Angelina talks about G.L.O.W and her own experience of being on a reality TV show where she was asked to train the girls at the bachelorette. 

Angelina shares about her new book, Dinner for One, and how  health and  fitness are a big part of her life along with  fun recipes a person can make to cherish themselves, instead of waiting for someone else to do that for you. They discuss their experiences with social media and how they have become friends through it.

Life appears to me very short  to be spent in nursing animosity, relieving bad experiences or registering wrong. Sometimes you just have to accept an apology we never got.

In this episode a share part of a chapter from my book Brighter Days and part of the sermon Rabbi Goodman did on Kol Nidre last Sunday. I am not jewish but I so much enjoy listening to him when I go to temple with my husband. 

"We live our life trying to emulate the divine, trying to attain holiness. This is the most important question: if God can forgive, why can’t we?  Forgiveness doesn’t mean condoning or  forgetting the wrongdoing. It doesn’t require erasing the memory of a hurtful event, or pretending never happened. Rather, it acknowledge the pain and recognizes that people make mistakes, leaving room for growth and reconciliation"

Ayesha Mehdi is a licensed attorney in Nevada who specializes in corporate, transactional, regulatory, and licensure matters for physicians, healthcare professionals, and healthcare businesses.

 Originally from Lahore, Pakistan, she is a mother of three and leads an active lifestyle, having completed a full marathon and multiple half marathons. Ayesha immigrated to the US in 2003 after getting married. She received her Bachelor's in Business Administration with honors in Finance from Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration in Michigan. She also earned her Master's in Health Services Administration and Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Kansas, where she currently serves on the law school's Board of Governors. Ayesha's work as a healthcare lawyer has been published and she has presented continuing legal education seminars across the country.

In this episode they discuss their experiences with arranged marriages and the importance of finding love, the right partner to create the  families she always wanted. Ayesha also shares her experience of having a baby with 13 year in between. She emphasize the need for financial independence for women and she also shares about the challenges of juggling work and family life in different cultures.

Do you have a challenging relationship with money? We all do! especially women. Unfortunately!
But what is a money block anyway? 

A money block is a series of thoughts, a mindset, or a feeling that gets in the way of you accomplishing financial success. It could be getting out of debt, saving a ton of money, increasing your income, or affording the lifestyle of your dreams.

If you want to break free from your money blocks, it is important to become aware of the ways they’re showing up for you personally.

So let me help you figure this out. There are many ways to overcome money blocks. 
The first step is to stop focusing on what you don't have and start paying attention to what you do have. Listen up! You will find some helpful tips in this episode.

when we get hurt and allow those feeling to control us, we give our power away. If the hurt was intentional, we hold on to it longer. We feel we need an apology. and not only do we need an apology but the apology has to sound and look exactly how we imagine it would be because if not, it's not good enough. 

Why? Why do we need this? I really wanted to figure this out because I used to be the exact same thing until I understood that 

Sometimes we have to accept an apology that was never given to us.
This is your journey of healing. It all starts with a WHY? Cultivating a healthy relationship  with yourself should always be your priority.

Claudia and Lucy discuss Lucy's experiences as a clown, with Lucy sharing her background as a clown from the age of 6. They talk about the challenges of being a mom clown, such as having to be upset or send children time out. Lucy shares her experience of starting her career as a Clown at 18 and undergoing years of training to become a hospital clown and designing her own clown coats for charity and how Covid changed her business and empowered her to create different ways to entertain children.  Claudia and Lucy emphasize the importance of being present, focusing on the little things that bring joy to their lives, They talk about the value of having fun and creating memories with children. Lucy shares her dream of having a Loopy lounge with a cafe for parents and children to have fun together.

When I talk to women who are in the same place I was 20 years ago, I vividly remember that person. I remember my thoughts, my beliefs, my fears, and my dreams. At the end of the day, you can either evolve or repeat, and if you repeat, you will always get the same outcome.

I transitioned from fear to desire, and it didn't happen overnight. Nothing happens overnight. It's the little micro steps that bring you closer to your goal.

Deep inside, we all know what we want, but sometimes we are afraid to even say it out loud. We fear being judged or labeled, so we don’t pursue it.

You need to want it badly! It’s like the butterfly in the cocoon—you need to break through so you can fly.

I knew the life I’m living right now was available to me. I didn't know how, but I knew it was possible. I knew it would take commitment and discipline to create the life I am enjoying today.
