You know we are really in The Originals now because we have our first fancy party this week! Klaus is working hard this week on a plan with many overlapping people that can only be described as flawless. That’s our king manipulator! Rebekah does her own manipulating, bringing Cami into the line of fire at the party. Cami does get quite a view of Marcel’s business it does not lead to positive conclusions. Sophie teams up with the Mikaelson team now that they have identified Marcel’s weapon for stopping magic, distracting Davina so they can locate Elijah. With magic flowing in the quarter, we get insight into Davina, Marcel, and Marcel’s henchmen. The plans are overall a success, but while Hayley is bored waiting for Elijah, she runs into a wolf and a witch, ending up with a clue of her own to slay-ly investigate.

Rebekah has finally arrived in New Orleans! She immediately starts beefing with Klaus, bonding with Hayley, and having sexual tension with her former beau Marcel - classic Rebekah! She even gets to meet the already iconic Davina. Meanwhile, we learn more about Klaus and Marcel’s demented father/son relationship. Plus, Marcel attempts to take Cami on a date, and Klaus adopts a new henchman - and he’s gay! Woo hoo!

We made it to The Originals, we are in New Orleans baby! Elijah opens up the series with a star turn, and his very own yellow top night. Klaus, meanwhile, is busy having a meltdown because his past protogé, Marcel, is now running the French Quarter. That would be enough to mess him up, but he finds out the New Orleans witches lured him because Hayley, who he hooked up with one time, is pregnant! Elijah is ready to fight for family while Klaus would rather fight for power, and it looks like neither of those fights will be easy. But don't worry, we still find time to discuss expectations, potential couples, and who received our first stan cards!

Well well well, we made it to the SERIES finale! Stefan and Damon engage in a martyr off, Bonnie becomes the most important person of the team as usual, Caroline needs to get in the car, and Nina Dobrev is back (with a crazy wig). Plus, we get a beautiful epilogue as we say goodbye to the characters and this show. Grace and Stephanie reflect on season 8, discuss The Originals and Legacies, and tease a few upcoming special episodes before they embark on the next journey - The Originals!

Well, the title says it all! Who can say if it's June, but it's a wedding episode. The wedding is planned quickly because it is first and foremost a trap for a certain enemy, but Steroline fans and wedding fans alike can rejoice that we largely avoid classic annoying TV wedding tropes! We see some struggles, but most people who need two suck it up are able to do so. Stephanie spends the whole episode believing a fully wrong theory, and Grace gets to experience the greatest of Steroline wins! With one more episode left, guesses abound and emotions are high because can you believe it's almost over??

This week, Cade seems hell bent on dying - he enters and immediately confirms the Salvatores have the only weapon that can kill him. Luckily, he has Elena’s coffin for leverage and is a psychic, so he should be able to outsmart them, right? …..right? Kai betrays both the Salvatores and Cade, but our heroes get payback by sending him to yet another prison world. But Kai gets the last laugh when he gets to reveal a familiar face is now running hell. Plus, ANOTHER (better) Steroline proposal - we’re so back, Steroline girls!!

With the return of an old (but fun!) enemy, Damon has his hands full trying to figure out key hell logistics while essentially babysitting. Bonnie tries to get insight from Cade on where Enzo ended up, and Cade's psychic ability is weak since he cannot figure that out. Alaric has returned to reunite Caroline with their kids, just kidding, he needs help because the siphons are, get this, siphoning! Caroline has another hard day in a string of long days, when a forgotten cur consequence rears its ugly head. Finally, Stefan faces his mystery kidnapper, and ends the episode making a decision that will piss off everyone, but especially the Steroline stans.
