Raw emotions this week due to a truly gaggy final scene… but before we get there, it’s a Christmas episode! And if we’ve learned anything, that should not be something to celebrate in TVDU. After rescuing Rebekah from the bottom of the ocean, she faces a side effect of being put down. Freya also finds herself in danger, but is protected by Jackson (who finally realizes that a werewolf pack and a family are similar things) and Finn (who is still safely in his necklace). Marcel, who does not take holidays off, works back channels and gets a new regent appointed, much to Tristan’s chagrin. Finally, a couple Mikaelsons decide to take the prophecy into their own hands, while another Mikaelson finds that they can’t quite hold on to happiness. Oh also, Aurora is a bitch!
