Love this "Evidence" Services

All the characters in this series are fun to get to know. I especially like seeing lead characters in one book reappear in supporting roles in other books continuing to tell the story of their "happily ever after". If you like romantic suspense you will enjoy this series.

I really loved the plot and development of the characters. The story takes you on a race to get out of Turkey and back to the U.S..

On the run, not knowing if you can actually believe or trust someone your with, the lies, the secrets, the betrayal, the fear, a hostile environment and the intense sparks of attraction between the characters.....

Kept me on the edge to find out what happens next. ... A thrilling race to the end.

Will not say more about the story itself because I don't want to spoil it.

The narrative was done beautifully.

This author is excellent! She has written a series that is filled with mystery and intrigue, in depth characters, and enough romance to catch everyone's interest. Her plots are interwoven bringing the characters together throughout the series. I highly recommend both author and series.

I struggled to finish this book. too many characters. I've read Fern Michaels & you d the sisterhood books are not my style.

this book was certainly disjointed. was very hard to follow the story line. have always enjoyed and read all sisterhood and now the boys. not worth my purchase!!!

A good read if your not a guy.

The guys seemed to be portrayed as bafoons. Without the women they seem helpless. Good.

A POWERFUL, PASSIONATE & POSITIVE JOURNEY

Rebecca Brooke outdid herself with this chilling, thrilling and sizzling tale of an abused wife and her unlikely savior who tentatively showed, enthusiastically encouraged and eventually convinced her to take back her life. It wasn't a light easy-going listen but it was easy to get caught up in this well described emotional story as two strangers slowly find out they're perfect for each other. But the true perfection of this story, IMO, didn't come from its remarkable well written chapters.. no, it came from the duet narration by two actors whose voices skilfully brought scenes, characters and emotional chapters to life. Conversations flowed easy as they each stuck to their own gender's voices and I'll be checking out more books narrated by this real-life couple.

It was meant to be a normal day for Ashton - he was in his private box at the game which is where he usually carried out the family's shady Loan Shark business.. but there was far more to this handsome businessman because he was a Restauranteur and a Chef too. Ashton thought he'd seen and heard it all - but when his next debtor came shuffling in with a very mousy downtrodden woman in tow, and then offered her to him for three months as his own personal sex slave, Ashton saw red. Another Winner by Susan May Warren

It's hard to believe that every book by Susan May Warren just steals me away with intriguing characters (that are so well developed I believe in them) and unique and well-developed storylines, as well as realistic struggles with faith in trying circumstances. I just loved Jed and Kate and wondered how they would ever work out the issues they struggled with. Ultimately I was thrilled with their resolution and their acknowledgement of God's love, mercy and sovereignty.

I had already read the book in Kindle format and loved it, but as soon as I began listening to the audible version, I knew this was one I could share with my daughters who all have busy hectic "mom" lives.

I'm hoping to be able to get this entire series in Audible version and hopefully they will all have an equally exceptional narrator.

Gripping, Great Story!

This is a gripping, Great story. Lots of adventure and reasons to have faith. I've read the book, read the next two books in the series and just had to get it in Audible too and listen. This is read really well. You'll love it!

Where there's smoke

An excellent narration and story. It was also interesting to learn about smoke jumpers. It is a close cliffhanger and I'm looking forward to the next.

Another Great Book

I struggled to get into this series. not because I don't love Susan May Warren writing, but because I get so attached to her characters that it hurts when it is over. After The Christiansen's series, I wasn't ready to get emotionally invested again. How wrong I was!

This book is a great introduction to remarkable characters that I am ready to learn more about. Blazing Kate and Judd is a couple that is meant to be together, but does God love them enough to give them happiest.

Sub characters- Connor, Ruben, Peter, and Jillian are character that have a story and I can't wait to hear about it.

Loved the story and the narration!

TOO SWEET FOR A MAFIA STORY

I'm on the fence about returning this one. I think a Mafia story should be dark(ish), gritty, suspenseful, action packed, and of course big bad delicious alpha males. This book starts out this way but very quickly turns way too sweet.

Example: Michael Tripp the alpha male only has sex with a woman that is relationship material (no man whoring for him) and then he waits 30 days just to be sure. REALLY!! He has morals and a good nature but he also has an illegal gun running business, hum. IMO his conflict with the Mafia and actions taken are weak. I will mention his love interest is Terra, the Mafia boss' daughter.

This series is a continuation of Michael and Terra's story. So there is a 'to be continued' at the end.

I think this would be a good book for people who lean more towards sweet and sassy than dark and gritty.

Jeremy York and Elizabeth Hart were a big reason why I purchased this book without any previous reviews. They gave a great performance.

Is it worth your credit? You will need to decide.

Cliffhanger

I did like the book but wish some issues were not dragged out so long. Should of guessed it would have been a cliffhanger when I saw book # 1. Looking forward to the second one to find out what happens with main characters and secondary ones.

Awesom hero, TERRIBLE heroine!!

I wanted to love this book but sadly I didn't. in fact the heroine made this book painful. She's spineless and a liar. She sticks her head in the sand and then acts indignant. I loved Tripp. He was a great character!! But why does he have to love such a snot like Terra?!?! and then the cliff hanger. I just don't know of I can read the second. Maybe if Terra gets her shit together.

Another lovely recording of a favorite author/sto

As a longtime fan of Cadell, I always recommend the books, but the recording of the book adds a new level to the experience. Narrator does a great job of bringing the story to life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did want to and have re-listened.

Best of Cadell on audible

Of this author's three books available on audible (arrange for more, please!), i enjoyed this one the most. You'll want to pay close attention as you listen since there is little "filler". A definite recommend.

The corner shop

Light hearted, entertaining - feel good story - I am so happy that E Cadell's books are in audible - more titles please.

Pure corn

Having read other books by this author, I was confident that The Corner Shop would be a satisfying read. But the story was rambling, loose, and sometimes tedious, the characters irritatingly ill-defined. This is a favorite author of mine, but I regret the time I spent listening to this particular book of hers.

Yes, I think so. I thought the reader very much enhanced this story.

I like Barbara very much because she's so unexpected.

The professor came out very well, and she did a marvellous job of the glorious set-piece when the women are discussing the professor while he is oblivious

Um, lemme think... YES! Sebastian York could read a text book and it would sound sexy.

What did you like best about this story?

I like that I "get" the authors sense of humor. I am a huge fan, and this book did not dissappoint.

Have you listened to any of Sebastian Yorks other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, and my only thought about how this could have been better was that I wish it were a dual or duet narration. I've listened to him by himself and with other voice actors, and he never dissappoints.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Boom chicka bow wow!

Nope. It's a sexy romantic comedy. With a heist... enough said! I'm looking forward to book 2!

A True Gem!

Wow! This was my first Lauren Blakely story, and I was really impressed! The characters and plot were both well thought out, and developed.

Jake's character was smart, caring, and hot! I loved he was great at his job, and serious about taking care of his family. When he meets the confident, but cautions Steph, the chemistry between them was instant, and the flirty banter was heated and sexy. While they didn't trust each other, they teamed up to investigate Steph's stepfather, and the mystery regarding the "alleged" embezzled money. However, with each new meeting, encounter, and kiss, more fuel is added to their growing attraction for each other, and the sexual tension between them reaches combustible levels!

The narration was fantastic! Sebastian York has a great voice, and does an excellent projecting the different emotions throughout story!

But, ho, boy! The cliffhanger! Oh, It's a good thing I've already decided to get book two as soon as it is released, as well as checking out other stories by Lauren Blakely......so I guess I can live with the cliffhanger...... even if it is a very suspenseful cliffhanger!

This story can be disturbing if you focus on the crime that is being committed. Human trafficking is abhorrent so that was a tough part to get through. However, the author was effective at bringing out emotions in the listener so that you hate the bad guy/gals and love the good guy/gals. The romance that develops between Abby and Luke keeps that story interesting, light and romantic. I like how Luke protects Abby, but at the same time, she is not a helpless woman that cant use the skills and training she was given. I really enjoyed this audiobook. I also like the narrator, Paul Boehmer. He does a great job with the character voices and personalities so that its easy to follow. I must also tell you that I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

Short and Hot!!!

I enjoyed this story. It was pretty short, especially because it ended at about 3.5 hours, the rest of it was a "bonus story". I was pretty confused by the bonus because I had no idea who the characters were and didn't know what was going on. I guess I assumed when I finished the book and I heard "Bonus Scene" that it meant was getting a little more about Nick & Layla...Nope.

I liked Nick & Layla, they were a great couple! He is the dominant, protector type with a big sex drive. She is kinda a bad ass who might be compliant in the bedroom but that is about the only time. She won't be sidelined, especially when it comes to work and her sex drive might be even higher than his ;) The sex was fun and plenty. I just wish this story was longer. I wanted more on these two for sure.

yes but as already stated, if the entire book was read it would have been more worth the money spent.

Loved it!

Love the fact it has action with a great love story! The narrators were spot on and really brought the charters to life. Can not wait for the next one!!!

More of Harris and Layla...

This audiobook shows us more of Harris and Layla after the end of the last book of the trilogy. I enjoyed seeing them and their relationship evolve. The biggest problem arises when Harris just wants to keep her safe and Layla has to prove to him that shes just as capable as his team. Narration was well done and the story was engaging.

This story is the least likely to be believable of the series but still entertaining.

This story involves two sets of main characters. Suzanne Brockmann does an excellent job of bridging the characters. The narrators are fabulous and it was fun to listen to it being read.

Another Winner in Troubleshooters Series

Great blend of Romance & Suspense. Ric Alvarado from earlier book & his Annie start their adult relationship. Jules & Robin finally work through their issues to become a couple. Serious suspense & action abound. Narration works for series, but could be a little better differentiation between male & female "voices". Worth buying: I had paper books, then ebooks, now I've collected audiobooks of this series.
