    Title: Non Zombie
    Author: Garrett Robinson
    Narrator: Garrett Robinson
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 1 hr and 41 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 12-10-13
    Publisher: Living Art Books

Genres: Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Fantasy: Paranormal
    Publisher's Summary:
From Garrett Robinson, author of the Amazon best-selling drama novella series, Touch: Trilogy
Cliff is just an ordinary nerd in the middle of the zombie apocalypse. Overnight, he's gone from societal reject to apex predator. He knows the drill. He keeps his family safe. He's on top of the world. Until he gets bit.
The next morning, Cliff wakes up a zombie. Only, not. He can't feel, he can't bleed or die, but he can still think.
Will Cliff and his family figure out what's happened to him? Can he still defend his family in his new, slow, shambling state? Will he ever get back to normal?
This first novella in the Non Zombie trilogy delivers explosive laughs and a gory, raucous look at a post-apocalyptic future where the meek truly have inherited the earth.

    Unnecessarily Vulgar, but Enjoyable Read
I enjoyed the book a lot, and would have rated it higher, except that there was an unnecessary amount of vulgarity that distracted from the storyline too much. Swearing has it's place, and when used in speech or thought-patterns then it doesn't really matter how much you use as it informs you of the character, but there is rarely if ever a need for it in the narrative and when it is used it should be used with effect and not as a crutch as it seemed to be here. The story itself was quite enjoyable, though, once you get past the distractions, if a bit predictable. The protagonist isn't particularly likeable but becomes more so as the story progresses (and his condition becomes worse) and while a bit one-dimensional the antagonist does a good job filling his role and is thoroughly despicable. You can definitely see where he's coming from right up to the end, though.
A nice story to read on a break.
I loved the serial videos about the Guild, and this was kind of reminiscent of that except on a post apocalypse scenario. I gave it four stars cause because there are better ways to conclude this part of a series than " to be continued."
Nontastic!!! So worth a read, I loved it!
Okay, so I bought Non Zombie on a lark after hearing the author on the Self Publishing Podcast. Garrett's a genuinely funny guy and I liked his perspective on writing, how he came up with the NZ story-line as well as his filthy mouth; so I threw down actual cash for the book and I'm so glad I did. NZ is f'n hilarious, seriously. I fell in love with Cliff, an adorably obese Twinkies loving, post-online gamer/geek who adores his wife and is a great father. Together, Cliff and his wife have been preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse for the past six years. They were ready for anything, but not what happened next.
This is a great story and so worth a read. I'm already onto NZ 2 and will devour every book that comes out in the series. Mr. Robinson knows how to write humor and I had a lot of fun laughing my ass off.
    4.5 Stars :)
This was great fun, and quite funny (yes, those are two different things). I was only about a chapter in when I quickly hopped online and bought the next book in the series, and that's shaping up to be just as good as this one was.
This ain't your daddy's zombie story!
    Bravo Garrett! Bravo!
I have been a zombie fan since I first saw Night of the Living Dead (many, many moons ago.....yea, I'm that old) The past was difficult times for us poor zombie fans.

It's horror in the same way that Robert Bloch's Psycho is-horror of the soul. (Locus)

    Unchaste Bloodsuckers
Would you listen to Sins of the Blood again? Why?
I am glad I listened to it once - it's not the sort of book I will listen too again though.
What did you like best about this story?
I liked the fact that that the story had traditional nasty vampires and the plot line was interesting. I do think the storyline could have been refined a little though, especially concerning the protagonist's employment story. Frankly I was rooting for the evil vampires during the entire book.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
I was not a fan of the narration, but it wasn't horrible either.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Actually this could make a good horror movie but I don't know what the tag would be.

    This audiobook contains explicit content.
    Editorial Reviews:
Holly Summers is a child welfare officer in Portland, Oregon, who moonlights for the local police department using her skills as a lip-reader (she also happens to be deaf). But while Holly is helping the police investigate a rash of disappearances, an angry father from one of her cases puts a curse on her that threatens the one thing she loves most: her daughter. Performer Suzy James' tones are honeyed and smooth here, and she does an excellent job creating separate voices for each character. Fans of supernatural and psychological thrillers are likely to enjoy the ride.
    Members Reviews:
    Disturbing
The book was predictable which made it dull. Graham Masterton books often have a dark ending. This book seem to be a statement on the child welfare system and it's workers with a horror story on the side. The story and characters didn't seem to mesh. The overall mood of the book was disturbing to me although , you are warned of this in the description of the book. I under estimated how much. I'm not buying anymore of the author books. This one put me off of his dark style of expression.

    Fascinating Adventure

    Loved this book
This was a delightful take on witches. I loved the book and look forward to reading more. I loved the mother-daughter interactions. Who doesn't have issues with their mothers? And guilt?
    Light, good fun stories.
First in the series. Only wish each "diary" was numbered more clearly. Took some time to figure out order of series. But worth it.
    Love these "Diaries"
    The first few chapters

A good, short read. Smith brings the angst and another side to the vampire mythology. If more vampire writers read this, things could start getting good.
