GREAT story! Markswomen, Marksmen, camels, deserts, blades, magic, what more could you ask for?! Betrayal, loyalty, faithfulness, courage, this book has it all and will only get better as the trilogy unfolds! This was such a great read and more than kept me on the edge of my seat like a Jason Bourne movie! Some are claiming there isn't too much romance, but I think it was perfect. It wasn't the center of the story. A different love story. One of family. Mothers. Fathers. Vengence, redemption. Loved Rustan. Loved Kyra. If you enjoy books like the Hunger Games and Divergent, there is a pretty good chance you will love this book! Bring on Book 2 and Book 3! The only negative thing I can say is I want this in a hardcover format! =)

I absolutely love the cover of this book. I loved the summary of the story but it was just okay to me. I love the idea but it didn't hit home for me unfortunately. But I do believe plenty of fantasy lovers will fall in love with the book
