Big Time Hit!!!

That was a fantastic read! Now I have to wait for the next book so I can come down from the sudden heart stopping cliff hanger. Great job to my favorite new writers, but then I am a little bias about them, this a definite must read.

random events do not a mystery make

This second book relays heavily on not providing the reader with the truth of a situation until it is revealed later, over and over, and over. Not every mystery needs to be a fair-play mystery, but this just feels poorly written. I think there is a good story hiding in it, but it simply isn't executed nearly as well as the first book was.

Love the world, eager for more

Imaginative, engaging and so very different, in short the kind of series I seek out and follow obsessively. Hats off to the authors, can't wait for more.

The narrator was terrible. I couldn't enjoy the story because of the monotonous monotone of her voice. I can't tell you if the book was good or not. I couldn't get past the first chapter.

Fascinating read!

I loved this author's book fated so I figured anything else she wrote would be pretty good as well, an I haven't been let down at all, an I loved this story surprisingly enough with it even being a little supernatural an all! The only reason I gave it four stars was because I felt it took the main female character way too long to admit her true feelings for her gorgeous an talented "friend" Simon whom was crazy about her from the get go an everyone kept telling her that, it took up almost halfway through the book, in reality someone that hot an amazing would have gave up an moved on!! However the story kept me interested an spell bound enough to want to follow into book two.

Holy moly

So so good! Great twist at the end with an excellent cliff hanger. I am buying the second book now because I can't wait. If it like the first one I'll be counting down the days for the third book. Its nit like the other books I have read so I'm not sure why it was recommended but I'm glad it was.

It is on the paranormal end of things but I do find myself rooting for Caitlin and Simon. A must read.

Not too bad

This story seemed to take forever to get going. I almost quit reading it because it was so frustrating to read...but I pushed through because something interesting had to happen by the end, right? And it did. I am happy I didn't stop reading and the second book is even better!

Loved it!

I wasn't too sure about this book at first as I'm not normally into paranormal books. But after I read this authors other book Love Left Behind I decided to try it....and I am so glad I did. I was hooked almost instantly with this series. The author just makes love the characters and the plot it amazing. Very orginal.

Strange story

It was a little hard to follow or understand what the thing was. Too far fetched for my liking. I like stories that I can relate to or that seem believable, this one just didn't do it for me.

IF YOU JUST WANT A FAIRYTALE THEN LOOK NO FURTHER

Well I had high hopes for this Wereshifter book (understable going by the cover) but it's NOTHING like the usual dark Alpha male seeks female to dominate and mate with - if it had started with Once upon a time...... and ended with ..... and they all lived (well you get the picture).

It had Wereshifters, magic and Light or Dark 'Brights' (really these were Seelie or UnSeelie) what it didn't have was the typical Wereshifter type story and, although 'sharing a bed' and the occasional very very mild reference to sex was mentioned, there was nothing luke warm - let alone hot n heavy going on. Now that's ok if the plot's good but unfortunately it was filled with Prince Charming, Dr. Doolittle, bickering evil siblings and 3 Palaces.

Worth a credit? As I said, if you're looking for a Fairytale then this really would be a good one or maybe even very YA but for us grown ups it's a definite No - so please do yourselves a favour and keep your credit.

Excellent Start to a Series - Fantastic Heroine

T say that I was taken aback at the quality of the writing of the heroine (protagonist) would be an understatement. Many of the other characters fall into your stereotypical roles, but our blushing, warm, strong, magical, and independent heroine was characterized so well that it actually carries the story quite well. There are a number of story arcs that weave together to form the plot - one is a power play t take over the three kingdoms to make them one, another is to rescue the heroines father from his prison cell, another is to find out and control the power of the magic of the three stones. These three things are all inextricable, and our heroines potential marriage to Prince Ahlen could bring disaster, or the power to bring peace to everyone, but with everyone trying to kill her, she doesn't know which way to turn, and who is telling the truth and who is just out for their own greed or power.

If this book had more character development, had greater polish, removed the stereotypes, and improved the dialog, it could easily have lifted itself into the five star range. As I got it for free, this was a rare treat indeed, and I commend the author for providing such a wonderful level of writing for the entire world at no charge. The story is terribly exciting at a non-stop pace with characters that you care about in the middle of problems that you will want to see solved.

The biggest complaint I had about the book was the ending. It is what I call a MIT ending or Moment In Time. One minute the book is there, the next minute the book ends. Nothing is solved. Nothing is wrapped up. No story arcs are cleanly resolved. Typically, an event occurs at the end of the book that throws some type of monkey wrench into the main situation, or adds new light on the situation. Frankly, these types of endings make me want to scream. If my Kindle would not have broken, I would have thrown it - overhand into the corner with vim and vigor! Other than that, that book is really quite good. I am deciding if I am too insulted by the ending to buy the follow on book or not. I want to continue the story, but it was an underhanded was for me to continue. The story is definitely good enough to stand up on its own merits without the cheap tricks of MIT endings to get readers to buy follow on books.

It's going to be one of "those" series

I was hooked. Now I am waiting for the next installment. Cornerstone is loaded with depth and details.

Such intensity needs an outlet!

I love this book ... I think it was better than the first book Legacy. There is something about Rhys that draws me in even when he was not the main character in the first book. I wish though that the adventures would never end. I could really see this series as a a great television show that I would tune in every week to see where they would go next. I can't wait to meet Sebastian!

Much better narrator!

This series has gotten increasingly better with each book. I wasn't even sure if I liked the series in the beginning, but I'm very glad that I continued listening. Most of all, I love this narrator. The last gave me a headache with all the screaming into the microphone.

New narrator Whoo Hooo

I've reviewed this series for Book1 and 2. I enjoyed listening to Book 9 thru 12 with John Davis narrating. Sure he may slur some words together but I guess it must cost money to retake a line or two. But compared to the last narrator, John D. was a dream to listen too.
