Jason is joined by Dr. Stacie Stanley (St. Paul Schools Superintendent). She has deep roots in St. Paul, her ancestors moved here after the Civil War. She and Jason discuss the upcoming referendum to increase school funds. Dr. Stanley details where the money would go and how imperative the funds would be to not only operate but offer students well rounded educational nourishment.
Jason then asks about St. Paul’s policy for cell phones in class. Dr. Stanley says some students will be relieved where others may be nervous being separated. They also get into reading scores being down in Minnesota and what we can do about it at school and at home.
