This idea of bringing success to everything we do each day is a great way to live. When we take on one room at a time and bring success just to that one room, miracles happen. For many, the kitchen is the emotional centerpiece of the home, no matter how small or large this space may be. When we bring order to the social center of the home amazing things happen.

The home is an outward expression of ourselves. It has a vibe that sends a message to all who enter. To create a "Real Life" dining room (or another space), means to create a space that is welcoming, a space that invites conversation, celebration, contemplation, laughter, tears, and joy.

Dr. Lynda Ulrich speaks to us on a very important and timely topic involving our media-saturated society, and what happens to the brain when we impulsively click on negative news articles and videos on the internet. This is not to encourage ignorance; however, but rather to limit news intake to approximately 12 minutes and during midday, avoiding the time right after we wake up and right before we doze off to sleep. She discusses a Harvard study which found that exposure to less than 4 minutes of good news daily resulted in people feeling 18 percent more optimistic and 32 percent less anxious. Dr. Lynda is the founder of the "Goodness Exchange," a global website focused on conscious acts of kindness going on all over the world, a reminder that the world still has amazing human-beings who are doing amazing things. Find out what happens to "the brain on good news."

Not only does reading make you more interesting, but it also makes many things easier.
The practice of gratitude has levels. Saying thank you is the beginning. Then, acquiring a gratitude journal is the next step toward daily practice. The highest level is "acting as if" . . .
Passion is what drives us from within, and clarity of purpose often leads to authentic success. The paradox here, is that with all of this wonderful abundance flowing into our lives, we can slide back into that place of allowing ourselves to be tempted by and get sucked into the blackhole a lots and lots of shiny new opportunities. It is easy to say no to requests without much payoff. The challenge is to be able to say no to good opportunities which will leave us spread too thin.
It is human nature for most of us to unconsciously collect new or even used items we purchase or people give us, and allow them to fill our closets and rooms to the brim. Meanwhile, this is affecting our mood without us even recognizing it. Clutter on the outside causes clutter on the inside, and this can be tackled with one simple household rule.
We have been very conditioned to feel guilty for the mistakes we have made, and we often carry this shame deep into adulthood. Shame is a toxic energy-sucker that clutters and clogs up our consciousness, preventing us from fulfilling our authentic purpose and destiny by consuming so much mental space.
