"Are they trying to raise money off people's grief?!"
It's come to light that someone online has been using the names of Dublin teens that have recently passed away to raise money via GoFundMe.
The family of Alex Ryan, who passed away last May, discovered a GoFundMe page set up in his name asking for donations to cover the costs associated with his death.
Alex's father, Mick Ryan, joined us on the show and shared his story.
Mick contacted GoFundMe and got the page removed, but in the process found two similar pages. They were also asking for donations for Dublin teens that recently passed away.
At present all of these pages have been removed.
Mick has asked that if you come across any pages like this yourself, please report them.
