Family spending Christmas homeless in B&B
A woman reached out to us on Dublin Talks to share her story of spending Christmas homeless with her family.
Tina (which isn't her real name) is in homeless accommodation with her 4 children. She's been homeless since June 2019, making this their second Christmas without their own home.
Although she has cooking facilities available to her this year in their B&B, she's not sure how she's going to put food on the table.
She recently collected her Christmas pack from a homeless charity in Dublin. However, she was disappointed to see they'd only given her a €20 voucher, 3 santa hats and a pack of Pringles.
We had many people reach out wanting to offer her help. We also heard from two men he each experienced homelessness for over 20 years and what their Christmas' were like.
