October is here and you know what that means... DUDES DOIN HALLOWEEN 2024 is upon us: and we're starting with MAD GOD, the absolutely demented claymation flick about descending into hell (at least thats what we think it's about). Listen to us talk about our interpretations of the flick, what we liked about it, and what makes it so unique. Plus: Wallace & Gromit! Sunshine! Sonic The Hedgehog! All this and more!

My god. The dudes are taking a look at all the BATMAN movies today, and they're joined by friends, former guests and Bat-fans Xavier (Simulakra & Gridiron) and Chase (God Instinct). Buckle up cause were goin in on every Batman movie, for better or for worse...

The dudes are doin a weird one today: ELECTRIC DRAGON 80,000 V, a Japanese arthouse superhero flick from 2001 that's basically an anime brought to life. The dudes will talk about what worked for them and what didn't in this movie that's somehow way outside their wheelhouse but at the same time right up their alley. Plus, A Simple Plan, Pizza Party Massacre, Lone Wolf & Cub, Boogie Nights, and Len's upstairs neighbor is making a bunch of weird noises!

Today we do something different: The Dudes are here to reckon with their ratings... We looked at movies we've reviewed and compared our ratings and to the average rating on Letterboxd, and we pulled the top 25 with the biggest difference between how we see 'em and how people in general see 'em. Were the dudes too harsh or too kind on certain movies? Will they double down, or will they concede they were wrong? Can we understand or quantify WHY certain movies are seen in such a different light than the way we saw them? How do some of our friends reviews of these movies on the app support or refute our takes? A fun experiment that we wanted to turn into an episode. PLUS: The dudes hit RETROCON in PA! All this and more!

Did you know that Sam Raimi did a weirdo Superhero-meets-universal monster type movie in 1990 called DARKMAN? Well the dudes watched it and are here to talk about it, and they're joined by the third dude JOSH and day one friend of the pod DONNIE. Plus, the dudes watched a lot of other flicks and they'll talk about them all, including SPOILER FREE talk about Alien: Romulus.

Who doesn't love THE LORD OF THE RINGS? The dudes certainly do, and today they'll take a look at the entire trilogy and talk about why. Of course, for this one they had to recruit their most LOTR obsessed friend, RUSSELL from Magnitude. Russell literally takes out a flute and plays songs from the soundtrack while we're recording. Not a joke at all. Listen now!

What do you get when you combine Godzilla/Gamera style Kaiju with Gundam type mecha sci-fi and make it a big blockbuster action flick? 2013's PACIFIC RIM. The dudes are going to dive into this movie and pick it apart. Is it self-aware, or does it take itself a bit too seriously? Does it do more right or wrong? How has it aged?
