One of the more popular diesel conversions around is the Duraburb. A Suburban, Tahoe, or Escalade with a Duramax engine. Duraburb is a Florida company started a decade ago when someone wondered out loud why no manufacturers made a diesel SUV. Company founder-owner Eric Swanson decided to try and the rest is history. In those 10 years, Duraburb has done 300 conversions for mostly affluent clientele. Duraburbs look just like they rolled off the manufacturer's assembly line - every switch, light, and gauge - just like the OEM built the truck.
