Welcome into THE PICKLE JAR. A little update from Jill's world of living with adrenal insufficiency and a potentially life-threatening situation...DEATH BY DOBERMAN. An innocent accident/injury for someone with adrenal insufficiency could lead to a life-threatening adrenal crisis.
Jill's loving and caring doberman MEKO accidentally injured her leg. Jill's delicate skin led to a large wound that cannot be stitched. But learning from past experiences Jill was prepared to manage the situation.
Everything from her advocates to the location of first aid kits and hospital bags...the TEAM was ready. Near cardiac arrest in June of 2022 from a similar wound and infection, Jill learned the importance of her immediately starting antibiotics to PREVENT infection and the use of a local wound care specialist to clean and access the wound every 2-3 days.
Healing is predicted at possibly months...but this girl needs to do what she needs to do. From learning, she is LIVING.
This is her story, and this is her journey. She is worth the FIGHT against Addison's disease!
