Welcome to THE PICKLE JAR newly diagnosed with Addison's Disease, 28-year-old Ashley from Colorado.

She was diagnosed in June of 2023 but the Addison's journey has been part of her entire life. Her father was diagnosed with Addison's when she was just 6 months old and after months of her body on the brink of death, her father suggested Ashley be tested for Addison's.

Although there was a family history of autoimmune disease as her father also has Type 1 Diabetes, and Ashley had the CLASSIC symptoms of adrenal insufficiency Addison's diagnosis was MISSED by her medical team.

She has already made strides in her disease management and is getting back to living and caring for her two small children.

And living with PTSD, Ashley also acknowledges the importance of controlling her anxiety and the effect her mental health has on her STRESS and her adrenal insufficiency.

She is geared up and on the road to BRIGHTER days but understands there will be MOUNTAINS for this Colorado girl to climb. With a positive attitude in her backpack, she is ready to climb high and live life.
