She had been on a chronic illness journey of several years and despite her efforts to manage her energy levels her FATIGUE was becoming debilitating. Shannon at only 40 years old was running out of options to resolve her health issues and was contemplating the realty of an early death.
Luckily when the DAM BROKE her doctor was able to recognize the message her body was sending through all of her various symptoms but mainly through her hyperpigmentation. A skyrocketing ACTH test lead to her medical diagnosis of Addison's Disease.
She is approaching this next chapter in her life battling back not just with steroids but with everything else she can control. Nutrition. Exercise. Mental health.
