Michter's Legacy Series celebrates the foundational roots and heritage of the brand through two different whiskeys. Shenk's Homestead Sour Mash Whiskey honors John Shenk who founded what would become the Michter's brand all the way back in 1753. Bomberger's Declaration Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey honors the time period when the Michter's distillery was known as Bombergers. Each year, Michter's changes the wood finishing techniques and mashbills used in these whiskey to create something unique. This year is no different, but how do these whiskeys taste and how do they compare with last years releases (E199).
