A little over a decade ago I met Rose through some mutual friends here in Silicon Valley and have had the opportunity to see her grow her career.
 
When we first met she had taken a Director position in Customer Success where see got to see a company go public and now only ten years later she has a successful acquisition to Cisco under her belt, has lead operations and strategy for a billion company and currently is the COO at Qumu, a global public company that has gone completely remote.

Rose has always prided herself on building teams and growing companies and from what I've seen chooses to give back more time in a day that I think exists leading as Board Chair for two non-profits as well as her day job, caring for those that can't speak, our furry friends - and protecting the innocence of youth with Huckleberry programs. 

We used to have lunch together once every few months to catch up and that hasn't happened during COVID. In this episode we catch up on what she's been up to, talk about how video will impact companies internally and externally into the future, and how Qumu went all in with a global remote work force.

About Gregg Treinish
Gregg founded Adventure Scientists in 2011 with a strong passion for both scientific discovery and exploration. National Geographic named Gregg an Adventurer of the Year in 2008 when he and a friend completed a 7,800-mile trek along the spine of the Andes Mountain Range. He was included on the Christian Science Monitor's 30 under 30 list in 2012, and the following year became a National Geographic Emerging Explorer for his work with Adventure Scientists. 
 
In 2013, he was named a Backpacker Magazine "hero", in 2015, a Draper Richards Kaplan Entrepreneur and one of Men's Journal's "50 Most Adventurous Men." 
 
In 2017, he was named an Ashoka Fellow and in 2018 one of the Grist 50 "Fixers." Gregg was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2020 and is a member of their Global Futures Council on Sustainable Tourism. 
 
Gregg holds a biology degree from Montana State University and a sociology degree from CU-Boulder. He thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2004.
