December 26, 2020 A Different State of Mind ft. Reckless Reaction
In Episode 29, Reckless Reaction shares his point of view and experience as an underground rapper and producer. A self-taught artist has worked for years with some of his closest friends to create the group Mentes Diferentes. Their music is available on all digital platforms. RR talks about his new upcoming album set to drop early 2021. We talk about the hardships of an independent artist and what it will mean to be successful. We were able to talk about how important education is and what it takes to be an educator. He was able to work with adults that were working towards their U.S. citizenship. December 11, 2020 Impacting the Future ft. Dion Ball
In Episode 27, I had an opportunity to talk to Dion Ball. A Sacramento native, current college student and aspiring teacher and counselor. Dion reached out to me via Instagram to appear on the podcast. I didn't think twice. I was excited to know that someone was listening and wanted to be part of this project. We had a refreshing conversation about education, the teaching credential program and counselors in schools. We also touch some light politics and different social justice issues that are currently affecting us to this day.

December 04, 2020 An Unorthodox Dreamer ft. Julio Molina
In Episode 26, I was joined by Julio Molina who is currently a middle school teacher in Oakland and a DACA recipient. Julio was born in México and grew up in Sacramento, Ca. We were able to talk about his experience of attending college and surpassing many expectations. Molina also shares his passion for helping others in the same situation as him. He is currently teaching through Zoom due to the pandemic and is going the extra mile to reach out to all of his students. Julio credits a former teacher and his parents for navigating him through his journey.

In Episode 25, I was able to talk to Rose Shoen, a local soccer coach and community leader. She is the founder of Azteca F.C. in Sacramento, Ca. Her club ranges from the youngest players to premier men's teams. Azteca F.C. includes a premier men's team playing in San Francisco Soccer Football League which is one of the oldest and prestigious leagues in the United States. . Rose hosts weekly futsal training sessions for local players and this has sparked her to fight for more futsal courts throughout the city. In Episode 23, I was able to catch with Harman Sarai. A current student at Sacramento State, basketball trainer and aspiring YouTuber. He shares his story and experiences in the game of basketball. Harman, eldest son of Indian immigrants, has spent hours on the court perfecting his craft. He had to make a tough choice at a very young age that would decide his basketball future. He is now working towards helping other young athletes get a fair shake and be prepared to achieve greatness on and off the court. We talk about how to develop a brand and what this could mean for him in the future. Harman has a YouTube channel that he hopes will allow him to do what he loves daily and that is teach the game, talk about the game and live the game. In other words, ball is life.

November 06, 2020 California Dreaming ft. Mayuki Nagamine
In Episode 22, I was joined by Mayuki who is originally from Japan and is currently living in Southern California. She was a foreign exchange student in High School and experienced living the high school life in the Central Valley. She details the differences between life here and in Japan. One of the main aspects she mentions is the norms of society and school. With full support of her family she has been able to finish schooling at Saddleback College and is now working full time. Mayuki hopes to receive a sponsor to prolong her visa and stay in California as much as possible. She even jokes about how she is forgetting some of her native language because she is totally immersed in the American lifestyle. She embraces this country's diversity and the melting pot cultures.

In Episode 21, I had a great conversation with one of my childhood friends Shelby Johnson. He is now a local realtor in Sacramento, Ca. and he is also a manager in the hospitality industry. Shelby is an anti-complacent and details his experience earning a college soccer scholarship to Sacramento State, working towards different careers and learning about business from his mother. We were able to talk about the different ways to get into real estate, when to buy and how to buy a home and more.
