January 24, 2024Éirevision's Eurosong 2024!Our Journey to Eurosong 2024 continues. In today's episode, we're holding our very own Eurosong! Who will represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö this May? We want to (try!) find out! We will be conducting our very own vote - exactly like Eurosong. We'll have a panel of international jurors, a panel of Irish jurors, and a public vote. Conor and Louise are joined by Eurovision Hub founder/reactor Miceal O'Kane, TikToker Meehall - Micheál Linden, Mr.Stats man and Eurovision YouTuber - ESC Tom, and the fabulous Alex Basmati to discuss all six songs competing to represent Ireland. The songs and artists competing are: Erica Cody - 'Love Me Like I Do', Ailsha - 'Go Tobann', YJellowL and Toshín - 'JUDAS', Isabella Kearney - 'Let Me Be The Fire', Bambie Thug - 'Doomsday Blue', and Next in Line - 'Love Like Us'. January 19, 2024Our chat with Ryan O'Shaughnessy!On this episode of Éirevision, we are delighted to be joined by singer-songwriter and Eurovision legend, Ryan O'Shaughnessy! Ryan joins Conor and Lou to chat about his rise to fame following his time on 'The Voice of Ireland' and 'Britain's Got Talent'. In 2017, Ryan's song 'Together' was pitched for Brendan Murray however, Louis Walsh decided against the song. Luckily he did as Ryan himself went on to sing the song himself in Lisbon the following year. This resulted in Ireland getting to the grand-final of the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time since 2013. Ryan reflects on his time as Ireland's representative and the struggles faced post-Eurovision. He also shares his thoughts on how Ireland can improve going forward while also addressing the famous 'exploding cake' tweet from last year. Ryan also regularly appears on TG4's Junior Eurovision Éire each year as a judge. We're building up to Eurosong 2024 as six fresh artists will be competing for the honour to represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. In this mini-series, Conor, Lou, and Alex will delve into the songs competing for your vote + they'll be chatting to the stars themselves ahead of the live show on January 26th. In the final instatement of our interview episodes, Next In Line join Conor and Lou to discuss their entry 'Love Like Us'. The band, formed by the legend Louis Walsh, is made up of Joshua Regala, Conor Davis, Conor O’Farrell, Nueng Kelly, and Harry O’Connell. They made their debut on The Late Late Show back in 2022 and have been quietly working away on their first single - 'Love Like Us'. Based in Nashville, Isabella has worked with songwriters for artists including Lizzo, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and Demi Lovato. Born in Sydney, Australia, she grew up in Donegal and Northern Ireland, before moving to Australia. Isabella has a big connection with Eurovision after she wrote two songs for Australia Decides. But now, she wants the challenge of bringing Ireland back to the Eurovision final. He's performed at numerous festivals in Ireland and the UK and now has his eyes set on the Eurovision stage and hopes to represent Ireland in Malmö this May.
