Our Journey to Eurosong 2024 continues. In today's episode, we're holding our very own Eurosong! Who will represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö this May? We want to (try!) find out! We will be conducting our very own vote - exactly like Eurosong. We'll have a panel of international jurors, a panel of Irish jurors, and a public vote.

Conor and Louise are joined by Eurovision Hub founder/reactor Miceal O'Kane, TikToker Meehall - Micheál Linden, Mr.Stats man and Eurovision YouTuber - ESC Tom, and the fabulous Alex Basmati to discuss all six songs competing to represent Ireland.

The songs and artists competing are: Erica Cody - 'Love Me Like I Do', Ailsha - 'Go Tobann', YJellowL and Toshín - 'JUDAS', Isabella Kearney - 'Let Me Be The Fire', Bambie Thug - 'Doomsday Blue', and Next in Line - 'Love Like Us'. The panel will also share their thoughts on how the songs were released this year.

The band, formed by the legend Louis Walsh, is made up of Joshua Regala, Conor Davis, Conor O’Farrell, Nueng Kelly, and Harry O’Connell. They made their debut on The Late Late Show back in 2022 and have been quietly working away on their first single - 'Love Like Us'. They are hoping to make an instant impact by competing in Eurosong 2024 for the chance to represent their country at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden this May.

They've also performed across Europe! Now, they've set their sights on representing Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö this May. With their ouija pop track, they'll be singing for the chance to represent their country on The Late Late Show - Eurosong 2024 special on Friday, January 26th.

In this episode, Irish-Australian singer-songwriter Isabella Kearney joins Conor and Lou to discuss her entry 'Let Me Be The Fire'. Based in Nashville, Isabella has worked with songwriters for artists including Lizzo, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and Demi Lovato. Born in Sydney, Australia, she grew up in Donegal and Northern Ireland, before moving to Australia. Isabella has a big connection with Eurovision after she wrote two songs for Australia Decides. But now, she wants the challenge of bringing Ireland back to the Eurovision final. She'll be singing her song on The Late Late Show - Eurosong 2024 special on Friday, January 26th with the hopes of heading to Malmö this May.

Born of Jamaican and Nigerian parents and raised in Ireland, JyellowL has creates a distinctly powerful sound that is radically individual. His track ‘Ozone’ has over 1.5 million streams on Spotify and the single ‘Oh Lawd’ featured on the soundtrack of the hit TV show, ‘Normal People’. He's performed at numerous festivals in Ireland and the UK and now has his eyes set on the Eurovision stage and hopes to represent Ireland in Malmö this May. He'll be joined by the incredible soul-infused Pop-Funk singer Toshín on stage too.

In this episode, rock singer-songwriter AILSHA  joins Conor and Alex to discuss her entry 'Go Tobann'. The makeup artist turned singer has gradually explored her songs becoming heavier and heavier. 'Go Tobann' pokes fun at how Irish people fail to continue speaking Irish into adulthood, and are left with basic phrases. This inspired her to write the song and now AILSHA is setting her sight on the Eurovision stage and hopes to represent Ireland in Malmö this May.

Erica released her debut EP “Leoness” in 2019 and embarked on a nationwide tour, playing concerts and festivals across the country including Ireland’s biggest end-of-summer music festival, Electric Picnic. Erica also is a proud member of the enormously successful ‘Irish Women in Harmony’ project. Now, Erica is setting her sight on the Eurovision stage and hopes to represent Ireland in Malmö this May.
