El octavo capítulo de la serie Curso del 79 nos lleva a California. Por un lado está el debut de The crawdaddys, absoluto rara avis que apostó por el rhythm n’ blues más salvaje a la estela de los grandes grupos británicos de los 60. Por otro lado dos discos de la escena de Los Ángeles; el segundo LP de The Dickies, una de las banda con mayor proyección de la escena Costa Oeste, y por otro el único álbum de Germs, un corrosivo artefacto que se convirtió en piedra angular del Hardcore Punk.
