Sesión de viernes en la que nos zambullimos en dos recientes recopilatorios del sello Sleazy Records, ambos parten del rocknroll años 50 pero sin miedo a picotear en otros sonidos hermanados o adentrarse en esencias más garageras, siempre que sean canciones pensadas para la pista de baile. El volumen 3 de la colección Woody Wagon, compilados por DJ Rob’s Big Beat, y el volumen 2 de “We are the rockers!!”, compilado por DJ Danny.

James Williamson fue el guitarrista de los Stooges en el álbum “Raw power”, coautor de clásicos como “Search and destroy” y de las grabaciones que plasmó posteriormente Iggy Pop, que quedarían recogidas en discos como “Kill city”. Williamson se alía ahora con el cantante Frank Meyer (Streetwalkin’ Cheetahs) y la violinista Petra Haden (That Dog, Decemberist, Tito and Tarantula...) para formar The Pink Hearts, debutando con el disco “Behind the shade”.

Una sesión de dedicada a Marc Bolan y Tyranosuaurius-Rex, centrada en un momento concreto y vital en su trayectoria, el periodo que va de la primavera de 1970 al otoño de 1971. 18 meses, un año y medio en el que la banda británica editó tres álbumes que cambiaron las cosas para siempre; tanto en el seno y la esencia del grupo como en su repercusión hacia el exterior.
