Cathy brings over 20 years of experience in the recruiting and staffing industry and holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from Texas Tech University, along with an undergraduate degree in Business Management. Her expertise spans training recruiters, developing innovative processes, and crafting new recruiting strategies. Cathy has been a featured speaker at numerous industry conferences, including the ITAA CEO Summit, ERE Expo, SHRM Regional meetings, and NACCB conferences, as well as local organizational events. She has also represented the staffing industry in Washington, DC, as a lobbyist for the Immigration Visa Quota bill.
Cathy has achieved the highest distinction with Toastmasters International, earning the title of Distinguished Toastmaster. She holds several certifications, including Certified Internet Recruiter from AIRS, Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from HRCI/SHRM, Just Culture Expert, Green Belt in LEAN/Six Sigma, and Certified LinkedIn Recruiter.

Nishan Sivathasan serves as Division President, Technology and Workforce Solutions, and is responsible for AMN Healthcare’s suite of technology products for workforce management and virtual care platforms that enable healthcare organizations to deliver sustainable and innovative ways for patient care.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Sivathasan was Chief Strategy and Experience Officer at AMN Healthcare and had responsibility for business strategy and M&A. He joined AMN in 2019. Prior to joining AMN, Mr. Sivathasan was responsible for eCommerce strategy and business development at JCPenney. Previously, he spent time at a financial technology start-up and almost 10 years at Rackspace, a globally managed cloud computing company, in executive positions that spanned strategy, product development, and marketing. Mr. Sivathasan started his career at Accenture as a management consultant and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Austin College

Carla is a visionary leader in the healthcare industry, known nationally for her pioneering work in medical interpreting, language access, and health disparities. As the System Director of Diversity Initiatives, Interpreter Services, and ADA/504 and Section 1557 Coordinator for Steward Health Care, she oversaw language access services for 42 hospitals and over 600 physician practices in 11 different states.
Carla's impressive career spans over three decades, beginning as a registered nurse in 1988. She was one of twelve individuals who helped to draft the International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA) Standards of Practice in 1995, a milestone achievement in the field of medical interpreting. Additionally, she was part of an advisory committee for the MA DPH that created the Best Practice Recommendations for hospital-based Interpreter Services in 2001.
Carla's specialized proficiency in conducting mock surveys and gap analyses, with a keen emphasis on Joint Commission and DNV Standards, has consistently steered numerous hospitals towards successful accreditation. Her extensive experience in this domain not only ensures compliance but also enhances operational efficiency and patient care standards. Furthermore, Carla is a distinguished national presenter on topics such as disabilities, diversity, and language access, contributing significantly to the advancement of inclusive healthcare practices nationwide.
In 2003, Carla founded the Forum of the Coordination of Interpreter Services (FOCIS) as a collaborative platform for hospital and clinic-based interpreter programs to share best practices and resources. Originally established as a Massachusetts-based group, FOCIS has since expanded to nationwide membership. She has served as President of FOCIS and President and Vice President of the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC). Carla is also a founding member of Interpreting SAFE-AI Taskforce-Stakeholders- “Advocating for fair and Ethical AI in Interpreting.”
Carla's exceptional leadership has earned her numerous accolades, including the Healthcare Hero award from the Boston Business Journal in 2015. Tom Kiesau serves as the firm's Chief Innovation Officer and co-leads the Digital & Technology Transformation Line of Business. Prior to assuming leadership of Digital & Technology Transformation, he led the firm’s Strategy practice. He specializes in the areas of: digital transformation, enterprise strategic planning, clinical partnership development, next-generation service line growth strategy, and economic alignment. With over two decades of experience in the healthcare industry, Kimberly has demonstrated expertise in inpatient care, patient satisfaction, strategic communications and technology integrations. Her strategic planning skills have been pivotal in guiding the organization through various healthcare challenges.
Prior to her current role, Kimberly held positions at AtlantiCare and Shore Medical Center, where she consistently achieved high levels of patient satisfaction and provided exceptional leadership in healthcare management. Her experience in labor and delivery, coupled with her proficiency in EMR systems, has contributed to her well-rounded skill set. Kim is a board-certified nurse and holds, holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rowan University and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from LSU Shreveport.
About Leora:
Leora Westbrook is the President of Workforce Strategy and Optimization at AMN Healthcare, leading the team at Avantas, and overseeing strategy, technology and analytics solutions and consulting offerings.
Leora has more than 20 years of healthcare services experience. She has a proven track record in leading growth, program management, and delivering client results. She is known for managing complex programs, business development and her collaborative working style. She has worked for Fortune 100 companies, led her own client consulting business and was most recently the COO of healthcare startup OFFOR Health.
Leora earned an MBA from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami.

Mouhamad “Mo” Abbas, joined as President of Vendor Management Systems (VMS) in 2022 . In this role, he has responsibility for all AMN’s VMS solutions (ShiftWise Flex, Medefis and b4Health).
Mr. Abbas joined AMN with over 20 years of experience in global talent management and as a SaaS and technology entrepreneur. He believes in making an impact to society by having an exceptional vision beyond the VMS in services and value delivery. He has a proven track record delivering state-of-the-art VMS solutions and has successfully implemented talent solutions and change management with several multi-industry global companies with various technologies.
Mr. Abbas most recently served as the Chief of Operations and Technology Innovations for Simplify Workforce, which he helped co-found. During his tenure there, he developed and drove market strategies, created a scalable model, and led marketing and sales, and implementation to multiple cross-industry clients, while also leading product innovation.
Mr. Abbas earned his MBA degree in MIS from St Edwards University, Austin, TX.

ABOUT LIZ
Liz Cunningham, Vice President of Digital Solutions at AMN Healthcare since 2020, drives digital transformation for a seamless user experience powered by self-service, AI, and automation. She manages a diverse team of senior leaders and team members across product management, digital marketing, engineering, analytics, and user experience. In 2023, Liz also assumed the role of transforming AMN's enterprise customer support department, implementing new technology and a streamlined operating model.
In her 11-year tenure with AMN, Liz has taken on various roles, from heading AMN's clinician strategy during COVID-19 response to leading enterprise operations and branding for the Healthcare Staffing Divisions. Presently, Liz leads her team in managing the industry-leading healthcare professional application, AMN Passport, and spearheads new digital experience platforms, fostering digital-first engagements for clients and candidates.
Outside of work, Liz is dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship. As a Board Member for the ZIP Launch Pad, a San Diego State-funded Innovation center, she actively champions early-stage startups founded by SDSU students and faculty. In her free time, Liz is cultivating a unique passion for cheese and is working towards becoming a cheese monger, adding a flavorful layer to her diverse interests.
